These are really nicely made for the price. They're."inexpensive" ... but not "cheap." To me, cheap denotes poor quality. To me, there is nothing "cheap" here. They are well made, and UL Listed. The center screw makes for a nice, secure wall tap. Note: the screw will only work on regular standard style outlets with the cover removed. The screw uses the center hole; normally needed to hold the cover. If you have modern, updated style outlets, (as I do) the center screw is useless. Still; the tap is tight fitting. It is mounted behind our flat screen & glass top entertainment stand with our cable box, and the kids' game consoles. The risk of knocking it out is minimal. Another big plus, ... these have plugs for BOTH TOP & BOTTOM outlets. Some wall taps only use one; and have a single plastic post in the ground slot.for the other. This would render 1 row of 3 useless for me. When I rewired with the new, modern receptacles, I opted to place the top & bottom as isolated circuits. Top draws current from one breaker, the bottom, from another. 6 components drawing current from 1 receptacle, ... Questionable IMHO. I give this product 5 stars for both quality and design. I have a very old house that had electricity installed many years after it was built, so it has one or two outlets at most in each room. I've been using power strips but they make a clutter. i just installed a couple of these and was able to eliminate the power strips on those outlets, really cleaning up a lot of clutter. It comes with a nice long mounting screw that attaches it securely to the outlet, so no worries about it coming loose. Great product for a low price. ... show more

Outlet has a very solid feel to it. Plug connections are very secure. Looks nice. The fact that it screws diectly into the wall (as oposed to simply plugging into the outlet) is nice as adding/removing plugs doesnt loosen the connection. For seven dollars, hard to go wrong.
