My nephew enjoyed this gift and his parents did as well knowing he could use headphones

Although I love everything else about this drum-set… I am saddened by its quality. It has amazing sound quality, is awesome for a beginner and very similar sounding to a drum set that costs much more. I just wish that when it was being constructed it was made thicker or with a material that keeps it
together for at least a few years. I do feel it is worth the money. Just be mindful if you’re purchasing for a child. I have been with my son during play time with it out of the 3 times he has played with it so I don’t feel it’s okay for it to already be coming apart.

9-pad "Real-effect" rechargable electronic drum set
Color: Rainbow with icons
This 9-pad digital drum pad is fun, there's no denying that. The sound that comes out of this is okay, at best. It's definitely not a high end musical instrument, no one is going to hear the sound output from this and be tricked in to thinking a real drum set was used. However, for what it is, a smal
l (-ish) practice pad that is ultra portable and (my favorite feature) *rechargeable*, it's a great deal. It feels fairly well made and sturdy. I've not seen any breakdown on the rubber mats yet after hours worth of use. The option to plug in headphones is nice, although, again, the overall sound quality isn't on par with more expensive drumming options. I do like the inclusion of the foot pedals. This is good as a practice tool or as a toy for a young budding drummer. I think the price is fair considering what you get. Overall it's a good product and seems well made overall.

Sounds really good with lots of options
Color: Rainbow with icons
The ORASANT 9-Pad Real-Effect Rechargeable Portable Electronic Drum Set was much nicer than I expected. It has a control panel that is attached to a flexible rubberized drum mat that has 9 brightly colored drum pads. The circle of each drum pad is slightly elevated, yet the center of each drum pad is
not. The set also comes with two drum sticks, two foot pedals, a short Type C to USB charging cable, and a short auxiliary cable. An A/C wall adapter is not included. On the control panel there are several buttons. Rhythm, Kit, Click, Special, Demo and Play/Stop. I was surprised by the wide variety of options these buttons offer, like drum sounds, rhythm, beat, plus the ability to change the positioning of the snare and hi-hat. There is also a demo button, with multiple examples of what the ORASANT 9-Pad Real-Effect Rechargeable Portable Electronic Drum Set can do. Furthermore, the sound was surprising good and the drum pads are so sensitive you could play them with the light touch of your fingers. Overall, I was really surprised by the quality, sound and sensitivity of the ORASANT 9-Pad Real-Effect Rechargeable Portable Electronic Drum Set. I was also surprised by the variety of options it offers. I did have an issue with one corner of the mat not laying down all the way, but I believe this could be rectified by leaving a book on it overnight to straigten it out. I also had a major issue with the length of the charging cable and the auxiliary cord, and the fact that it did not come with an A/C wall adapter. For the price point, longer cords and an A/C wall adapter should have been provided. Yet, 10 to 1 you probably have longer versions of both laying around in a drawer. I would definitely recommend this for the music lover in your life.

This is hours of fun for my son. He’s into making beats and thought this will be the perfect pad for him. The sound quality is good and it’s a little on the lite side. However, it keeps him entertained. He’s 10 just for a reference.

Time to get your Phil Collins out
Color: Rainbow with icons
It indeed rolls and unrolls and while it's not top end audio, I wasn't expecting that. What it does do is give you a quick way to get your Phil Collins out, simply, quickly and without taking up a bunch of floor space or even closet space. Looking forward to trying it as a USB MIDI trigger -- will up
date review after I've tested that.

A bit smaller than I expected, but it looks well made.
Color: Rainbow with icons
ORASANT 9-Pad Real-effect Rechargeable Portable Electronic Drum Set With Icons, Roll-up Practice Drum Pad Electric Drum Pad with Speaker, Headphone Jack, Pedals,12H Playtime, Christmas Gift First impressions: A bit smaller than I expected, but it looks well made. The sticks are shorter than standard
but that may go along with the smaller footprint. I like the size of the foot pedals. Installation/setup: Plug in to fully charge. Turn on and play. Select different modes if desired. Final thoughts: I got this to practice. I have a full size set of electronic drums in storage but they take up too much room in my apartment. I like these. The sound is pretty good, I need to find my good headphones to try out that part. I’m glad I got this, I would choose it again. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

This well made drum set is an enormous amount of fun to use.
Color: Rainbow with icons
Hi. This drum set has been a huge hit with the five and nine year brother and sister siblings in my life. They quickly understood the control layout and learned how to make effective use to the rhythm prompts and demo modes to practice beat timing and/or just play along for fun. The sound quality of
the head unit is quite good and while there is a distinct stereo effect, it is limited by the unit’s 9”, side to side, width. The silicone backing for the drum set is stable and does not slide around while under use. And, while the drum pad is water resistant and can handle a splash, it is not submersible. The manufacturer also cautions against rolling it up tightly to prevent internal damage. The two pedals that come with the set both work well and have a top surface that it angled for the drummer’s (foot) comfort. Yes, seriously. This kit is a hoot …. And, lastly … of most importance for parents …. Plugging a pair of simple wired headphones into a jack on the rear of the head unit disables the external speakers and allows for private practice sessions that only the drummer can hear. The rest of the world will still be able to hear the sound of the drumsticks hitting the silicone pad, but, overall, headphone mode is a win-win for everyone who’s home. The takeaway: This is a well made, high quality, and versatile drum set that comes with everything you need. It is lots of fun for kids to use and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Have fun …

A great addition to the band
Color: Rainbow with icons
Three kids all fighting over this. It really doesn't have great sounds. But it's very addictive play and responsivle and the feature set is surprisingly deep. We've been on YouTube for videos and keep finding things and now it's added to the guitars and piano for a more complete band. Battery life se
ems great. The only real negative are the little foot pedals that do not always do as expected.

Review From a True Novice
Color: Rainbow with icons
Full Disclosure: I don't know how to play the drums. I recently got an electronic drum set as a gift, but I haven't started taking lessons yet. However, I could not resist this when I saw it. There is nothing wrong with having a more portable version of the instrument you play. My husband plays guita
r and I bought him a travel guitar and a portable amp so he could play on our vacations. Maybe I'll do the same and one day,we'll have jam sessions on the balcony overlooking the Carribean. As for how this set works, it's great. All the pads are very reactive. I did not have any problems with it detecting strikes either with the included drumsticks or even by being tapped with my fingers. The volume can be turned up so it is super loud, but has a really good range in volume. The set is pretty inclusive based on other sets that I had looked into before getting my larger set and the "kit" button allows you to cycle through the sounds each of the 9 pads can make. I really like that the speaker is attached to the pads, rather than being an extra piece that has to be plugged in. The weight of the speaker/control panel is such that it keeps the silicone mat from slipping and the mat folds up nicely for storage and travel. It feels very well made and the pad looks like it can take a beating, which is what you want if you are going to play the drums on it.

My three year old loves playing on the real drum set at Grandma's and when she offered to send it home with him I had to find something that wouldn't take up so much space before she suprised him and brought it to our house. The volume control was a great bonus though. He loves it and I love that it'
s durable and rolls up to fit in the toy box when he's not using it. My teen sons also have fun with it. It has a ton of features for what it is and more serious users will appreciate the foot pedals. I think this is awesome for many ages and scenarios and highly recommend.

You will love it but hate it! Great for Kids!
Color: Rainbow with icons
High quality even though the idea, price point, and box design make it feel cheaper than what you are paying. I actually play on it when the grandkids are not at our house. Our musically gifted grandson comes straight to this when he comes over. The price point doesn't allow for us to consider buying
a 2nd however it is a cool and fun toy. Easy to store and fold back up. We still use the original box which is sturdy.

March to the beat of your own drum....electronically
Color: Rainbow with icons
The media could not be loaded. This item really caught my attention. It's so colorful and fun looking in the ad. It wasn't till I opened it that I realized it could do a lot more than just be a fun 'drum' set to play with. I teach kids music and this looked like a fun way to teach rhythm. But I'm fin
ding that it's got some other helpful features. It's got an input for an audio cord so you can use this as a speaker. I turned it all the way up to see if it would work in a classroom and it definitely will. My son was sitting in front of it when I pushed play on my phone that was connected to this. It caused him to jump back! Then I turned it down and balanced it with the volume on the machine and he was able to play along with the song and try to match the beat and sound of the drum in the song. I think it will really help with ear training. It's also just fun to play with. It has at least 4 demo sounds to show you what it can do. On the left is a rhythm button. That slows down or speeds up the tempo. Then the kit button changes the drum's sound. The click button changes the time signature from 3 to 4 to 6. It also has 2 extra drums that are foot pedals. One of them is the same as the sound of the blue drum on the mat. The other is a new sound. But if you change what you do with your feet and get different sounds. For example, push both pedals at once and get a different sound. This allows you to play with 2 hands with the drumsticks and 2 feet like a professional drummer would do. The unit is rechargeable through the type-C port. But that port also is an output. You can connect it to your computer and play drum games with this device. So cool! And a beautiful feature for us parents is that instead of banishing the drum player to the garage, with this you can have them plug in earphones and then it is silent in the room! Only the drummer will hear it! The only cautions are to be careful how you store it. If you roll it up it can damage the drum pads. Also the speaker portion is heavy as compared to the mat so it is a little awkward. Very cool item! 5 Stars!

A surprisingly robust drum pad.
Color: Rainbow with icons
I wasn't sure what to expect from this drum pad. After all, the ones I've seen have thicker pads resembling actual drum kits. This rubber one rolls up for travel or storage. How good can it be? Well, was I surprised when I turned it on: the sound won't be confused for an actual drum kit. but each ele
ment, from kick to tom to snare and hi-hat, is clear and distinguishable. The volume control works well and can really crank out the sound. The control "box" is attached to the pad and allows the user to change the rhythm, the built-in metronome ("click") and other features including a demo that lets you play along with it. It's small size doesn't really prepare a novice drummer for a full-size drum set, but it does let a student practice different beats and sequences with real-time feedback. And it includes two foot pedals, and of course, two solid drum sticks -- not fancy but serviceable. The drum pad uses an included cable for charging with a standard USB charger (the charger itself is not included), and comes with a short single pin cable for attaching an external speaker; there is a jack for headphones too. No bluetooth connectivity, though. A small but comprehensive set of instructions is provided -- a nice touch, as so many manufacturers now require going to a website to view or download a manual. There is a helpful description of each function on the drum pad. I could see this drum pad as good for anyone interested in learning rhythms in preparation for a larger drum kit. Who knows if the next Buddy Rich is out there?

I picked this up after checking some of the reviews that indicated that it had decent drum sounds. While I realize it is not a professional pad by any means at $69.99, I got it hoping to be able to lay down some basic rhythm tracks for simple backing tracks to practice guitar and bass. It will work,
but that is not what it was designed for. It arrived rolled in a box. Once unpacked, I had to put a heavy box on it, on the counter for about 24 hours to begin to get it to lay flat. It is basically a rubber mat and from being rolled up for so long it did not want to unroll. If it is not laying flat on a hard surface it will not trigger properly. It might flatten easier in warmer weather. It came with two pedals that trigger the bass drum sound/pad and the hi-hat sound/pad. They work, but it is tough to accurately get the rhythm you want because they are basically just momentary on switches that are extremely light. They are not very responsive. Everything is constructed of rubber and plastic, including the pedals. The exception is the drum sticks included. These are wooden, but VERY cheaply made. One of the ones I received even had splinters and they are both rough. The pads work decently as far as triggering. I can tap out some ok rhythms. I'm a little disappointed in the selection of sounds. They are not horrible, but, far from the "professional" drum sounds described. I first tested this just using the built in speakers and was very disappointed. Then, I tried playing it through my monitor speakers using the headphone out jack, and the sound was actually not too bad. One annoying issue is, it does not save your settings when you shut it off. If you turn it off and back on, it defaults to the beginning (kit, volume, etc.). It has an Aux in that would allow you to play music through the built in speakers. It also has a headphone out that will allow you to play it without annoying the entire house. You can also use this to go into a mixer then into your interface and record in your DAW if you want to. There is also the input for the pedals. It comes with the main unit/pads, 2 pedals, 1 aux cable, 1 USB C charging cable and 2 drumsticks. It is battery operated (built in lithium battery). They claim that you can get about 10 hours of playing time on a full charge (though I have not tested this). There are apparently about 5 kit variations, though the manual doesn't specify (the manual doesn't tell you much of anything actually). It has some demo beats and songs. The various pads have led lights that light up when the pad is struck. I think the kids will enjoy it. I don't care for it, but it is easy to turn off with the press of a button. I think it could be a real hoot to let the grandkids jam on it while I play along on guitar. So long as your expectations are realistic, I think it's not bad for the money. We've had some fun with it so far, but it is NOT a professional pad as mentioned in the description. I docked 1 star because the drumsticks are terrible and I have yet to get it to lay completely flat. I'm thinking of using a hair dryer to try to make it more supple.
