So you can buy this super cool looking lamp from a variety of different brands. At first glance they all look the same, but they are all slightly different with their features. They are inexpensive, super lightweight and fairly difficult to break. I would bet they will become a favorite among the younger generations as they will be easy to move from apartment to apartment. Perhaps they will one day be as ubiquitous as those floor standing black torch lamps… I own a few of these lamps by different brands and—to be fully transparent—I have rated them all 5 stars. Like most of my similar lamps, this one is orange. It is very simple to put together: screw in the light bulbs and screw on the top. All done. This one uses four screw-in lamps, which I DEFINITELY prefer over those that have built in LED lamps that cannot be replaced. This one has a clear 120 volt lamp cord with a single switch on it. Some other brands offer brightness and color temperature controls, which I just find to be more annoying than useful. A simple on off switch is less likely to break and easier to use. I suppose having that functionality would be a positive for some people however. Having a 5 volt power cable like some of the LED-powered lamps might also be preferable to some. That said, I prefer having replaceable lamps and a simple on off switch over any of that! The only other thing to consider is, who has the best price? I have seen the price vary between brands by more than double. Whichever one you buy, I think you will be happy with your purchase. You might even decide to ditch the torch lamp. ... show more

I had relatively low expectations for this all-plastic lamp. It was ordered entirely for the funky fun look, so imagine my surprise when I take it out of the box and realize this is actually some really nice plastic. It actually doesn't feel cheap at all. It's relatively thick and rigid with minimal flex and there are no visible seams. Not all plastics are created equal, and this really shows that in the best way possible. The function is also refreshingly simple. No RGB. No dimming controls. No built-in non-replaceable LEDs. It has a clear power cord with just a basic on/off switch, and it takes four (included) standard threaded light bulbs, so there's no reason to clog up a landfill when the bulbs eventually die. And it's very bright with the included bulbs, but I'm sure you could try different ones if you need them to be more dim, especially if this lamp is going to be used above eye-level because those bulbs will poke out from underneath and could be a bit blinding. ... show more

    • Cute Little Lamp That Comes with Bulbs
I really like this little lamp! It's nice and bright without being overwhelming. It's a bit short, so it might be a better bookshelf lamp than a nighstand lamp, but the light it produces is nice regardless. It's also a major bonus that it comes with its own bulbs, and they are LED so they should last for a very long time. The lamp also does not produce an overly orange light like you might would be afraid of with a product like this, which is nice. It's worth noting that this lamp is completely made of plastic and not glass or ceramic, if that matters to you. I was surprised by this, but it didn't detract from the look at all. Also maybe be a bit more careful than me when opening the cardboard box, as I managed to give myself a papercut lol. It may also take just a little bit of effort to attach the lampshade to the base, but it just screws on, so be patient with it. I have nothing but positive things to say about this lamp, so I'd highly recommend it if it's your aesthetic. Five stars. ... show more

I’m a big fan of all things late 60s and early 70s, so this lamp immediately caught my eye. While I wouldn’t necessarily call it “mid-century” like the description claims, it definitely gives off those groovy 60s and 70s vibes and it actually pulls it off pretty well! The lamp itself is made of plastic, which feels a little thin, but as long as you’re careful, it’s not a big deal. I was surprised by how much bigger it is than I expected, but that turned out to be a nice bonus. It’s a great accent piece and fits in perfectly with my other retro decor. One thing to note: it’s a bit brighter than I’d like. It’s not too bright, but for my taste, I’ll probably swap out the bulbs for something with less wattage. I do wish it was dimmable, though—that would’ve been a nice touch. On the plus side, it comes with bulbs included, which is always a bonus. Overall, it’s a cool lamp with a retro vibe, and for being made of plastic, it’s a decent value. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into that aesthetic! ... show more

I love the look of this lamp and the warm orange glow it puts off. It's super cool and makes an instant impact on the room. The lamp is plastic and comes safely disassembled in a box with foam inserts. It was super easy to put together. I'm so happy it came with the all four G45 lightbulbs individually packaged too. Only took a minute to get the light bulbs screwed in and screw on the top. Then just plug it in, switch it on, and enjoy! ... show more

I’m updating my mid-century decor to a more Mid-Mod style and this lamp is a perfect addition. It would look right at home in Marcia Brady’s bedroom. It’s a great nightstand lamp. The best part is the price. It’s plastic - a glass one would cost in the hundreds of dollars.
