I shoot a lot of hiking and nature videos in Hawaii, and my Osmo Action camera (and filters) really do a great job of allowing me to easily get great footage. It's always really bright here, so I typically go with the ND16 or ND32 when I'm in the sun. The ND64 might be useful if you're shooting straight into the sun or something, but I haven't used it yet. The polarizer is also a nice feature, letting me separate the white clouds from the blue sky a lot better and giving the clouds a lot more definition. There is a bit of a learning curve, however. You really shouldn't use the filters if you're in the shade or if it's even slightly dark. These are for BRIGHT lighting situations! The Osmo Action already struggles mightily in low-light, so adding an ND filter on top of that really won't help. You also need to be aware of the position of the circular polarizer and make sure it's not shading the wrong area of your frame. The ND filters allow you to lower your shutter speed to 1/50 or 1/60, but be aware that this also decreases the effectiveness of the rocksteady feature. I found some of my footage to be a bit jittery with these "cinematic" settings, so you'll want to make sure you are using the right techniques when filming at these speeds. Otherwise, just slap on the ND8 and film in auto if you want to get the best steadiness. Overall, I think the filters are a great value and seem to be built very sturdily. They are easy to take on/off, but I do think the magnetic hot-swap system by Polar Pro would be a lot more convenient. Those filters do not have the built-in polarizers though, so I'd give the slight edge to these Freewell filters. They're worth the money if you take the time to learn how to use them properly, and they'll help give you a little better image quality in your films. ... show more

the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that taking the clear lens off the DJI Action camera isn't for the squeamish as that little bugger is tight and I do mean tight. The only way I could get it off was to wrap a soft towel and use a large pliers on it. That should NOT be that tight, but the only guess is that DJI wanted to make sure it was waterproof. I don't worry about that as I didn't buy this camera to go underwater with it. Though if I was going to take this underwater, I think I would find a way to seal the lens up better now that I have broken that seal. So my advice is you don't want to take the original lens off like I did then either don't buy it or find a better solution (maybe like ND filters that don't require t take the lens off?). ... show more

I got these for my DJI Osmo camera this past week. The bright sunshine of May and early June really helped with the Freewell filters. The ND16 actually helps reduce jello on my drone by about 50%. Using the ND filters is the trick to jello elimination on most fpv race quads. DJI says Rocksteady is as good as the Gopro Hypersmooth, but I found that my Osmo Action video was not usable without the filters. So for me I wouldn't fly this camera without them. Plus the added benefit of flare reduction and making the sky show the blue and clouds. Otherwise it was blowing out most of the detail in the sky. The filters also help make the greens pop. Overall color saturation is like night and day using the filter set. I'm happy that Freewell came out with these. They cover all conditions with this set. Cloudy days to the super bright days. You will come home with video worth using with these filters. Probably the best filter set on Amazon. Not cheap grade! ... show more
