The Oraimo Ice Maker is simply spectacular! It produces ice incredibly fast, with the ice being easy to incorporate into any drink, shake or smoothie. Originally, I wanted to get a stand-alone icemaker so we could use high quality drinking water for our ice rather than the refrigerator's filtered water. The ice is clear and due to its small size cools your drink VERY quickly (due to the larger surface area of the ice!) The nice thing about this ice is that when it melts in your drink, it adds high quality drinking water to your beverage rather than ice that might smell or taste unpleasant. We've been storing them in Quart Ziploc bags and find that it makes using them easier and simpler than a big gallon-sized bag. It is easier to store them and when you're making a drink, usually a pack is more than enough to take care of your needs. When you've got enough ice, you can simply shut the unit off until next time. Cleaning the unit is very easy and if you are using high quality water, you more than likely won't be needing to descale the inside. However, if needed, white vinegar is a very economical way of accomplishing the job. The noise of the unit does not bother us and is actually exciting and fun as we keep checking the level of the ice. The unit itself is quite elegant and does come with a one-year warranty, extendable to two years with a few clicks on your computer's keyboard. My wife has never been a big fan of ice, but the small nugget-style pieces has even gotten her excited to.... I can't believe I'm writing this...chew the ice!!! This unit has been one of the great finds of this decade for us and I know it might sound like a child rambling on about a toy. It has, however, awakened my inner child with excitement, especially on the first official day of summer. The media could not be loaded. Update: I reached out to the company directly for troubleshooting steps. They replied the same day and immediately took action. The issue has been resolved beyond my expectations. Changed to 5 stars, malfunctions happen and their response made all the difference. Thank you! I have an unhealthy relationship with ice. I will go to the places that serve nugget ice and fill up large cups and bring them home. I have broken down the places that have the best ice. Sonic is usually known as peak, but the real winner is Maverik (IYKYK). Eventually it started to wain on me and it was not ideal to keep going out for ice. I searched for an ice machine for almost a month thinking the best I could hope for was something similar to sonic (which would have been great). However!! I decided to try once more for the holy grail Maverik nugget ice. I ran into this and it didn’t have that many reviews, based on the pictures I thought it was worth a shot. Let me tell you something. It’s the best ice. THE BEST. It’s like Maverik but even better. If you’ve decided to spend the money on a nugget/pebble ice maker, my assumption is that I’m speaking your language, this is the one! Get some freezer gallon bags! The ice is great fresh (a little more chewy) and after it’s been frozen (crunchy right away and snowy if you wait). ... show more

I bought this ice machine March 5th, 2024 and we were so excited because my granddaughter loves eating the soft small ice. It was an investment, but figured would be well worth it from having to stop at her favorite store all the time to get a cup of ice. When I read reviews there were some negative ones but not to many and thought to give it a shot. This morning it woke me up out of sleep making a loud 2 tone noise. When I turned the machine off the noises kept going and I had to actually unplug it to get it to stop. I left it off all day and just plugged back in and and it's making some noises like something in the motor is off and rubbing or something. It's a shame because I can't afford to purchase one of these every 2-3 months. :( on the other hand it was making lots of ice, great size and my granddaughter loved it till now! ... show more
