I just replaced my Optima Yellow Top, 6.5 years after it was manufactured. My current battery is close to the end of it's service life, but that may be another year or ? My neighbor will let me know how long the old battery lasts in his spare truck. This is a premium AGM battery that fits my Tundra without modifications. This is a dual purpose battery used for starting and high amp hour use. So you run your Jeep or 4x4 Truck in remote places, need extra juice for lights, winch, or fridge? Fit perfect my 15 tundra 1794, 5.7L The Battery arrive on time and it was at 12.8 volt⚡️ as supposed be fully charged, I will update this review if something comes up raleted to this battery

It's an Optima, need I say more? Best battery on the market! I've had a number of batteries for my '05 Toyota Sequoia and this is the best. We tow a boat or our travel trailer a lot and use the lights a lot. I have an upgraded alternator however the other AGM and Gel batteries deep cycle and not could keep up and none have performed as well as the Optima YellowTop. This pup fires up my SUV like a rocket and always has the power to run everything. I love it and if you can drop the extra money you will not go wrong! Long term you'll save money as I've go through 3 batteries over the years and this one will out last all three! ... show more

    • Don't waste the money
OK, so I've had this battery on my Tacoma for 2 years 2 months. 18 months of use was in California with a 50 mile round trip to work every day. I relocated in October 2020 to upstate New York and to be fair my work journey is now about 4 miles each way. I've had to put a charger on this battery several times due to it not liking the cold and causing a no start on the truck. So tonight I check the voltage and it's 10.7 volts so I've put it on charge again. This battery is dieing, for the 300 bucks I paid for it I expect more than 3 years, we'll if it makes it 3 years........ No more Optima for me. ... show more

This battery was installed in my 2019 tundra platinum, the original acid battery needed to be replaced, can’t go wrong with the Optima yellow top wasn’t sure if this one was going to fit, but it was a perfect match and works very well has a long reserve and a strong start

    • Great product, poor packaging.
I have been reading mixed reviews of Optima batteries since Johnson Controls took ownership, but decided to give it a shot since I could not find a comparable alternative that was proven superior. So far the battery is everything I expected - strong and consistent with a nice reserve capacity. If anything changes I will update this review but so far so good. The only issue was the packaging - actually there literally was NONE the way I found it on my porch. I came home and found the battery lying NEXT the box it was shipped in on it's side, and the box had simply "busted" at both the top and bottom. The UPS guy did not even make an effort to put it back, and I don't blame him as it's not his job. Why the shipper used a paper-thin box with only one strip of tape, I cannot understand. I know for a fact when you order an Optima from the factory it comes in a very thick cardboard box with strong tape. This was the opposite - a box meant for shipping teddy bears not heavy batteries. I would not purchase this battery from Amazon again, simply because this vendor chooses to save a few dollars on economy packaging methods. I would rather pay more and not find my battery lying on the ground, obviously having burst through the bottom before the delivery man was finished setting the box down. ... show more

It's been about a year since I bought a pair of these for my Cummins and they are still just as it sexy. No input or output issues. Really it's not their fault it's mine but here we go with my complaint Only complaint i have is the steep $650 i paid for the two of them. What have i learned you ask!? Next time im going with two Walmart batteries and a can of yellow spray paint! Think of all the tow mirrors i could have bought with the $500 i saved!..... ... show more

    • Reliable battery
Purchased for use as house battery in RV. Needed the 27F terminal configuration which is only available in YellowTop. I have purchased Optima batteries before and always have had good performance. This battery arrived in a new and very satisfactory packaging (well padded and strong cardboard). The battery had 12.7v as-received so there was no need to charge it before installing. If the voltage is low on such batteries, one must use a charger that has a gel or AGM setting to successfully charge it. I expect to get much longer life than I was getting from the usual deep-cycle plate battery. ... show more
