I have used a zillion different kinds of top coats from all the brands… I don’t write a lot of reviews, but this one deserves it. I am extremely rough on my nails and can chip them within a day. Usually I give up and don’t even wear polish because it’s so frustrating to put in the work and then have it ruined after only a day or two. I prefer doing regular nail polish instead of acrylic or gel manicures just for the sake of saving time and money. I have tried other OPI top coats and still didn’t have much success. But I figured I’d give this one a shot. And HOLY SMOKES, I am so glad I’ve tried this one. I wore it over one color for 5 days without chips, then I did my nails in a different color and I’m on day 4 or 5 again with still no chips, no peeling off, and maintaining very high shine. One thick coat gives enough coverage, so it’s super easy. Doesn’t take a long time to dry either. Finally I can paint my own nails again and not be frustrated after the first or second day. this is by far the best top coat i've ever used. get it!! painting your nails will never feel like a chore again. i used to constantly get dents in my nails hours after they were completely dry. i'd fall asleep hours after finishing and wake up with the impression of my blankets in the manicure i'd spent so long on. with this top coat, even a lumpy, too-thick color coat will dry evenly and get nice and hard. it's extremely forgiving. you can really glob it on, and it will still turn out great. it's not just the top coat that dries quickly, it somehow reacts with the color coats and dries them super fast as well. my routine is to wait only 1 or 2 minutes between color coats, then i give my nails about 10 minutes to dry before applying this top coat. 5 minutes later they are dry enough to use my phone and even wash my hands. a few hours later and they are hard enough to do the dishes without gloves on. i have found that if i don't wait that 10-15 minutes, i'll pick up a small amount of color with the applicator of the top coat which is really annoying. the finish isn't the smoothest. it dries so fast that you tend to get extremely fine brush strokes in the clear coat. nobody but you will notice that though. i'm pretty tough on my nails, and they will definitely chip if you don't protect them. they usually last about a week for me, unless i decide to garden with no gloves on or something stupid like that. ... show more

Don't know how I went through life without this! It does exactly what I wanted. I wanted a thick, glossy top coat that looks like gel. This delivers. And it dries fast which I was not expecting. The photo of the black nail polish has the OPI top coat on the left. The finger on the right is my regular top coat I have been using by Sinful Colors which was thin and didn't have any shine. I've been buying this product for a few years now and can say it is the best on the market. It is a little more expensive than other brands, but I believe you get what you pay for. I ordered this because I wanted the look of a gel manicure without actually using gel - the roundness and slight puffiness. This delivers that look - mostly. You need to use 2 coats to get there. What impressed me the most was how long my manicure stayed looking perfect! I painted them on a Sunday, then did the dishes on Monday - no gloves. My nails were still perfect. Did more house cleaning the next day and my nails were still perfect. What did them in was using them to peel off a sticker - gave me a small chip right on the edge of the thumbnail. Buy this stuff.
