I bought this UV/LED gel top coat for my presss on nails that I use that are already painted and/or have designs on them. I use primarily KISS nails, they are my favorite brand. These are my Labor Day nails - avocados hee hee. BUT the ones with designs always wear off or chip within a few days. So, I thought I'd try a gel top coat. So far, the Beetles Gel polish goes on, super smooth. I used a THIN coat. I cured it for 90 seconds and it's DRY is not the least bit tacky, sticky, or weird. This polish does have a sight odor, but it's not over powering or overwhelming. I did use a second coat, just for giggles, no bad effects from the second coat, I just wanted the extra protection. I really don't think it was necessary. No steaks, no bubbles, but I truly believe you need a THIN coat, be gentle, be aware, less is more. The test is will it last, or how long will it last? I hope it last longer than a regular clear coat, which last 2 days tops before peeling off. I'll update in a couple of days. FINGERS CROSSED ... show more

I live modelones top coat but this bottle was super glossy and thick when i put it on which i loved and cured great. It just peeled after two days on pretty much all of my fingers 8/10

I cannot say enough about this product. First, I am so extremely happy that I finally found a product that looks good and that I can do at home AND save money. Secondly, it looks amazing, and I will most likely never go to the nail salon again. Maybe just for a pedicure, which I can do with this too. Third, your nails will look professional and well done. No way in comparison to dip. I purchased the light pink builder gel. Then realized that I needed the base, top coat and lamp. Which all of these items are so very inexpensive. Be patient with this process. It takes a couple times to get it just right. One thing I have found to be helpful is, a little builder gel goes a long way. Also keep a cuticle stick close by, to clean up around the cuticle in case your gel starts to go over. Again, I cannot stress enough. Just use a little drop. That’s where I made most of my mistakes. Using too much. Also, base coat then cure, builder gel a small drop, it’s self settling so if you need to add more you can, then cure again. Then the top coat. That’s where the magic happens. 😊☺️😊 A shiny top coat that looks so professional, then cure. Then your nails will be dry to touch. Up until then? Don’t touch, or you’ll have a sticky mess.
