I paddle outrigger and dragon boat and these are must-haves for staying safe on the water. They are a bit less constraining that the over the body type. This was purchased to try and find something more comfortable and that I would actually wear. I have several full size over the shoulder PFD‘s. But they are no fun in the Florida sun. This is a very nice around the waste PFD. I have no problem paddling with this and it’s light enough that it never feels like it’s bulky and in the way while I paddle board. I have gotten it wet plenty of times and it is very easy to unfold and re-fold once dry. The directions to re-fold are imprinted right inside of the package. The manual inflation “straw” is a nice feature should the cartridge fail to inflate for some reason. ... show more

Most ppl dont wear safety gear because it is not comfortable. This is very comfortable and will be worn without hesitation. Remember to test and reload yearly, jump in a pool and inflate that thang.

I love this PFD. It is so lightweight that I forget that I have it on. When I go paddle boarding I always wear this around my waist where my friends have the bulkier jackets that they attach to their boards. All I have to do is pull the cord when needed. Side note, when I went through other reviews people were commenting on the cartridge being expired. That is the manufactured date. ... show more
