As a responsible Gun Owner you should always keep your guns locked up and away from prying eyes and little fingers. This Biometric Gun Safe is well designed and easy to setup the "Biometric Reader", multiple finger prints recognized. It can also be opened with a numeric combination and finally a key. Great for a bedside Gun Safe and can be bolted in place with a cable lock or through the base inside (as I did in the trunk of my car). Durable and near impossible to pry open as the top is such a tight fit you'd be luck to get a knife blade in it. Highly Recommend for Home or Auto. Be Safe. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First impressions... the key is very stiff in the lock to open it. The "4" DOUBLE A BATTERIES, make it open easily when using the biometric or code entry. More than one fingerprint can be entered. Once the digital code is set, you can set up fingerprint. You can then delete eitger as desired. Easy to set up. I just wonder how much power the batteries are using to open a stiff lock. How long they will last or... will they fail when I need it most. Having a low batteries warning light would be a plus. Otherwise, it is good for the money spent. Made well. Decent weight. Decent paddng inside. Throw in a silica bag or two for moisture. ... show more

This was exactly what I needed to store my handgun bedside. I love the biometric fingerprint that has never failed me. I ended up configuring all of my fingers as a just in case. I also liked the access code as well as the key entry. The access code helps when my older daughter is at the house doggy sitting while we are away. At one point I had two hand guns but I keep one gun with 3 magazines with the one at my bed. The response time of the biometric fingerprint is very responsive. The battery life is pretty good.     • Quick, simple and effective
Programming codes and fingerprints is a breeze, the instructions are clear and straightforward with little to no room for error, the safe itself seems sturdy and durable with plenty of room to fit 3 mags (2 of which are extended) and a compact pistol with a bit of room to spare. The speed at which the safe pops open upon finger print is quick enough where I'm confident in an emergency situation I'll be able to access my firearm when needed with no hassle. The keypad input obviously takes longer but it still really responsive and the fact we can program multiple sets of prints and codes makes it easy to plan for emergencies. My only real issue is the fact the safe runs on 4 AA batteries (which I likely skipped over in product details as I don't recall seeing that listed), but I suppose that's more a personal gripe than anything as even without batteries powering the keypad/print scanner I still have the key which pops the safe really quick. I feel an improvement could be the addition of a solar strip/magnetic charging option to at least power the fingerprint scanner in the even you the batteries run out and you don't have access to the key. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the product and will update in a few months to a year if I have any issues or find any faults. Would recommend though as a entry safe ... show more
