  • The Best Folding Phone Currently On The Market!
Color: Voyager Black Style: Phone
I have to say, I was surprised by this phone. Being a loyal Samsung user for over the last decade, I was conflicted between choosing this or the Fold 5. Eventually choosing this phone due to the better screen ratios and for One Plus's (technically) first folding phone and my first One Plus phone. Wow. Just wow. I've had the phone for around 3 days now and so far I have gotten multiple compliments. And while I can not recommend the phone currently due to the admittedly high prices of folding smart phones. I plan on recommending it when it assumedly drops in price when the next generation releases. Pros; • Perfect foldable screen aspect ratios. Unlike Samsung that insists on a thing outer folding screen in (an assumed) attempt to make people want to use the opened form of the phone. One plus instead offers a for normal outer screen. Not only meaning you can use it like a normal phone but also get a larger tablet from factor. • Invisible Crease When the screen is folded open the crease is probably the best currently on the market. Unable to be seen unless held at angles that you would never even think of looking at the phone at unless you wanted to see the crease. • Battery Life So far I have only gotten below 50% battery after regular use of the phone in one day. That day being the first day I got the phone, when it arrived at 50% battery. • Charging This phone will charge FAST. I've put this charge at charge around 60% and came back 20-30 minutes later to see it fully charged. Cons; • Price Now this is a problem with all main foldable phones currently on the market but yeah... I honestly can not see foldable becoming main stream until they are able to be brought down in price. Though that is probably still a few years off. • Software Now this is not a dig at Oxygen OS as it so far feels like a good skin on the great Android OS. But some apps act weird when swapping between open and closed modes. Stretch long or squishing. I don't know if this is because these apps have only focused on working well on screen sizes similar to the Galaxy Fold but it is an issue where I sometimes have to close out of apps when swapping between screens just to not deal with awkward lay outs. Besides that though so far everything has been great. ... show more

  • Best Foldable Available
Color: Voyager Black Style: Phone
The large cover screen sets the OnePlus Open apart from competitors. It feels practical and spacious for quick tasks without forcing you to unfold the device every time. The unfolded display is a joy to use—sharp, vibrant, and expansive. Whether you’re watching videos, multitasking, or reading, the experience is smooth and immersive. Despite being a foldable, the OnePlus Open remains surprisingly slim and easy to carry. It’s not overly bulky, which is an underrated achievement in this category. Unlike other manufacturers, OnePlus includes a case in the box—a small touch that shows their attention to detail and value for customers. While not a deal-breaker, the omission of wireless charging feels like a step back for a premium device. If you’ve built wireless charging into your daily habits, you might miss it. For anyone using AT&T, be warned AT&T WiFi Calling is not an option with the Open. Using T-Mobile, WiFi Calling was available so it’s not an issue with the phone. The OnePlus Open shines as a well-thought-out foldable with a larger cover screen and a slim profile that makes it practical for everyday use. While it skips wireless charging, the overall hardware experience is refined and premium. OnePlus has delivered a thoughtfully designed product that feels polished and ready for the mainstream. ... show more

  • AWESOME Foldable phone!
Color: Voyager Black Style: Phone
What can I say? The last foldable phone I had was the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. I liked it a lot but eventually grew tired of the heaviness and ended up selling it. I also found the tall, slim, remote control profile of the outer screen to be uncomfortable to use at times, not to mention its unwieldy reachability. Unfortunately, Samsung has chosen to stick with the tall, skinny, barely useable design of the outer screen. OnePlus, on the other hand, provides a normal size outer screen, much better hinge with almost no detectable crease when open, a larger screen and many say an even better camera (albeit a much more obtrusive one) than even the new Samsung Fold 6! And even though it does not have the IP48 submersible rating Samsung has or the wireless charging, it does come with a proprietory 67 watt fast charger in the box that allows it to charge the phone from zero to 100% in under 45 minutes. Neither Samsung nor the new Pixel Pro 9 foldable can achieve anywhere near that level of fast charging. And the OPO beats both of those products in battery life by a mile! It's a matter of personal preference of course but, for me, the OPO is the far superior choice . You may feel otherwise. Oh yeah, forgot to mention it's just as light to hold and carry around as the new Samsung Fold 6 despite having a wider outer screen and a bigger inner screen. And with 512 GB it is hundreds of dollars cheaper than a comparable new Samsung or Pixel foldable, especially with the trade-in deal OnePlus is offering. You should also know unfortunately, OnePlus is only offering three years of software updates for this phone and four years security updates, while Samsung is promising 7 years. But honestly, there's no way I'm going to hang on to this phone for three more years. I'll likely trade it in when the OnePlus Open 2 makes its debut next year or the year after. ... show more
