The wife chose this Electric fireplace as the flames are what she found to be most realistic. The unit was extremely simple to put together. Took my time and followed the clear visual instructions precisely. All in all, I am pleased as is the wife, with the overall appearance and what seems to be quality product. It is a very nice addition to what was a bare wall in our home. The size and fit is perfect. The "mood lighting" was a plus for me, as I was unaware it came with the led strips. We'll worth the inexpensive price. The heater works very well and also appears to be of quality material. The one and only suggestion I could make, is to place some sort of filter media over the inlet on the backside for the heater blower as we have two dogs and their hair seems to get everywhere even though they get brushed regularly and groomed. I am thinking a filter media material placed over the air inlet for the heater blower will give the heater and blower motor a bit more life expectancy. Again, just a suggestion. ... show more

I feel like this was a decent value for the money. Like other reviewers said, it took me several hours to put it together and I had to have help towards the end when it got heavy. But I will say the instructions were well organized and the parts were easily identified, so I felt like the manufacturer did an outstanding job in this aspect. I had no issues putting it together. The lights work great, the heat function is perfect for my needs, and I love that it comes with a remote control. I am glad I purchased this fireplace/t.v. stand and I would purchase it again. ... show more

It’s not too difficult to assemble, but you will need an extra pair of hands. Follow directions precisely. Works wonderfully and is beautiful in my space!! I like the ability to change colors. The unit is solid with spacious cabinets!! Love that there is a remote control and that it makes literally no noise!! Really warms the room up quickly!! Perfect, thank you!! ... show more

This item came in two separate packages, the heater in one and the disassembled cabinet in the other. If you're familiar with putting together any Ikea furniture, this is no different. Took about two hours to put together with me taking frequent breaks. It's currently summer time so I haven't tried the heating element itself to see how well that works, If I have any problems come winter , I'll adjust my review. My only real complaint with this unit, Is that it only comes with two light straps. This means only half of the cabinet gets illuminated, the shelf will block the light to the Second half. I tried placing the strip behind the shelf as there's a gap between the back panel and the shelf itself, but that put the light too close to the back panel and you could see the Individual led's reflecting off of it, didn't look great. Also two more shelfs would have been nice. There's more than enough room for another set. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This piece adds so much to the living room. It makes the home look more expensive - more classy. It wasn’t difficult to put together and the instructions were EXCELLENT. Step by step instructions were provided, which was awesome because I need the details. I put it together BY MYSELF - I’m a middle aged gal with carpal tunnel syndrome. It took abt 5 hrs with several breaks in between. Without the breaks it would have taken abt 3 1/2 hours. The backs of the cabinets, in the back of the case, it’s little more than cardboard. But you don’t need full wood there since everything else is wood. And I think things like this keep cost down, which I genuinely appreciate. Still a GREAT piece. Not low quality AT ALL. Just GORGEOUS!!! It’s not too heavy but not at all light. The piece is sturdy. The lights are amazingly attractive and bright. The fireplace looks real and expensive. The heater, for me, doesn’t get very hot. I think that’s good because it’s inside of a box that may otherwise ignite. But you can feel the heat. The heat makes a slight sound as it runs but nothing distracting at all. I like the sound - kinda like the really low fan that I sleep to each night. The glass case that houses the fireplace doesn’t seem to get hot as the heater runs. This is another good thing because the item is less likely to overheat. I have two lamps plugged into the same outlet - though they’re plugged into a power surge protector and the fp directly into the wall. When I turn the heater on, the lamps dim. Maybe that’s just my own home’s energy. Or this thing must be kinda powerful. I utterly LOVE this fp! One of the Best Buy’s and new additions to my home. SUCH A GREAT BUY!!! Stop shopping around and BUY THIS ONE!!! ... show more

This thing was a pain to put together (it was just doing it), but once done it looks beautiful! It's all good quality. The fireplace works perfect. In fact a little too perfect because I have to turn down after a few minutes. You can easily move it around on hardwood floors and it doesn't tear them up. The remote control is easy to use and you can change the cabinet light or the color of the fire itself. It is the perfect fireplace for a moderate sized living room. The only thing I wish I could do was set this to come on at a certain time. I am grateful though, that I can set it to turn off at a certain time. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants beauty and warmth. ... show more
