I've been using an old set of silverware for years and wanted something new. I opted for this 20-piece Oneida flatware set and was delighted by my choice. The collection includes four place settings, each with a dinner fork, salad fork, dinner knife, dinner spoon, and teaspoon. The set came well packaged with each piece of silverware individually wrapped. The design is both modern and elegant; I'm not fussy so it's perfect for everyday use or special occasions. The design of the set also seems like a versatile choice blending with a variety of dinnerware patterns. I was especially impressed with the heft and thickness of the pieces, and I've been very happy that after several washes in the dishwasher they look as shiny as they did when I took them out of the box. The resilience of the pieces speaks to the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship behind them. This Oneida set is a great purchase and a fantastic value. As the title says, this one is pretty simple. We've put these through heavy daily use for the last 2 months and they've held up astoundingly well. I was most worried about corrosion happening after heavy use but we haven't seen any sign of that at all. The fit and feel of them is really great. They are all balanced really well and feel good in a man or woman's hand. The finish is high quality with no blemishing or signs of problems. 2 months of heavy use and they are still super shiny with a high gloss type finish. Bought this set to replace a 40 year old set of silver (silver plate) that was handed down. Tired of polishing it and it started to retain a bad taste. This set is solid, with a good weight to it. Clean lines make the pieces easy to clean and maintain their beautiful shine. I do not put them in the dishwasher and hand dry them. Although you can, Oneida recommends you don't. I like quality kitchen products, so I was drawn to this Oneida Grant flatware set for its classic styling and quality 18/0 stainless steel construction. After getting to use it daily, I can say it lives up to Oneida's reputation for durable, stylish flatware. Right out of the box, you can feel the substantial heft and solidness of each piece. The stainless steel has a nice weight and thickness that gives it a premium feel in the hand. The rounded handles are quite comfortable and well-balanced. The utensils have a simple, timeless design that looks neat on the table. The mirror-polished finish has held up great so far through constant dishwasher cycles. The set is really well-made. The heavy 18/0 stainless steel has remained gleaming with no surface scratches, pitting, or discoloration after weeks of use. There's virtually zero flex in any of the pieces, indicating they're made to withstand the rigors of everyday use and last for years, if not decades.
