  • Love the laser....BUT
Size: 60 Mopa with 602D
I've had this laser just over a week now. I'm very impressed so far with its capabilities that are packed into a small package but with that being said I'm super unimpressed with the product description. One of the main reasons I purchased this setup was due to the chuck rotary. I have a CO2 I've used for quite sometime now but was intending on adding the fiber to my business to do jewelry. The rotary would have been great to use for rings...sadly the drawback to this is that the rotary that comes with this laser is completely unusable to me. I specifically purchased this because of its size being that I have a small office I work out of. There is no way to use this rotary without building a platform off to the side of the laser to support the rotary which will completely impede my desk where my computer sits. I've contacted Omtech and they have told me to just mount it somewhere off to the side. Really wish they would have offered this information before I spent 4 grand. So at this point I have a nice laser and a heavy rotary I can use as a paperweight until my office situation changes. Just be aware the space you intend to use this in. ... show more
