As someone who switches between their MBP and gaming PC frequently when at home, I tend to keep my MBP on a laptop stand at all times. Since I use it with an external monitor, I decided to free up space by purchasing this stand versus the standard stand where the MBP sits on top of. I am glad I made this purchase as this stands frees up tons of space but is very efficient at holding it. I have no worries of my MBP falling or tipping over. It provides great cooling as I've yet to have a situation of it overheating. The padding is very good as it does not scratch or damage my laptop. Like another reviewer said - the item I received *did not* have a logo on it anywhere! This is perfect because it looks much nicer on my desk. Pros: - metal construction. Feels sturdy and the coating seems unlikely to chip over time. - heavy. Stays where I put it and doesn’t slide around. - rubber grippy material on the bottom and on the laptop slots to minimize scratches. - holds laptop securely. The “grip” is adjustable with an included Allen wrench. It has a wide range so should fit even the thickest laptops - two slots and takes up very little desk space Cons: - kind of pricey for what it is at the $25 I paid. Initial adjustment is a little tricky since the adjusting screws are on the bottom. Overall, worthwhile for the price and nicer-looking than many of the others available on Amazon. ... show more

I wasn't very convinced by the products pictures in regards to quality. So I figured, I'd take the chance. It is surprisingly sturdy and has a good weight to it.
