This frame DID squeak more than the twin XL version I got almost two years go. I went to target to buy WD-40 and sprayed it on every part of the bed where the parts connect and I haven't had a problem since. Just like the last bed I got from this company my mattress doesn't slide around and this frame is pretty sturdy. Im 6 ft tall and I weigh 222 pounds ...and the frame holds me and my memory foam mattress up with ease. the bars haven't bent at all.     • Nice bedframe, read for how to stop squeaking
We have really liked this bedframe, it's very solid and easy to assemble. Our one issue with the frame was it was squeaky. Everytime we moved in the bed it made a squeak. We tried tightening the bolts, WD-40, and reassembling and nothing worked. Finally I tried white lithium grease in the corner connections and that worked great. ... show more

I just put this frame together, took all of 20mins and was really easy to do by myself. It’s very sturdy, I jumped on the bed & everything just to make sure. I love the space available underneath to store items under. The only downside is the frame seems to be a little wider than my queen mattress, not sure if it’s supposed to be like or not but it doesn’t bother me enough to return it. All in all I think the cost is worth it and it’s a great quality frame. If I do find any issues with it I will come back & update my review. Hope this helps :) ... show more

    • Use a square when tightening
Size: Twin XL
This is a simple, attractive, quality bedframe. Several caveats: it can go out of square easily when tightening, so do that in increments. Find the corner that'll tighten most of the way without the rectangle becoming a trapizoid; cinch it first. Find the corner that pulls the frame out of square and tighten it last. If you don't have a big square, you will because the 6" gap between crossbars is 3x too wide to safely support, say, a memory/gel foam mattress so you're off to Home Depot to obtain two 4x4' 1/4" plywood sheets, which you'll have the store cut, together, to 39.5" x 38-some-odd inches to make a deck. There'll be plenty of height remaining to secure the mattress from sliding off. These decking pieces will function as squares. The metal is nice quality and its black finish can withstand cutting with a quality metal cutting blade (DeWalt makes a $10 one that cuts great)—I know because I cut the legs on my frame down by 6" to yield a 10" high frame. Assembled this last night. It seems relatively sturdy, but it is definitely not as well-made as the one I had before (ASIN B00EYN1NT6). The description states "Easy and seamless assembly – all the required hardware and tools are included/ headboard compatible", but the headboard that I bought doesn't work with it: not only do the holes not line up with the holes for assembling the frame, but the holes on the headboard are still behind the wide legs of the bed. The only possibility is to find brackets that allow the headboard holes to be lifted above the bed frame, so they'll have to be flat brackets instead of bent 90º, which is less sturdy structurally. This is why "headboard compatible" needs to mean "headboard brackets included and headboard-specific holes in the frame pre-drilled", not "you could use the frame-assembly holes, I guess". I would consider returning it if doing so were not such an enormous pain. ... show more

The frame arrived on time with damage to the box. However, because the frame was packed so well with styrofoam padding, the frame’s condition was still perfect. Once it was unpacked, it took me no more than 15 minutes to assemble. It has been in use for a few weeks now and our son says it is very comfortable and doesn’t make any noise.
