Ohuhu is one of the brands I will always be loyal to. They have yet to let me down, and I’ve needed a new sketchbook for a while. Being bleed resistant for alcohol markers is a plus, since it is my main media. However, as other reviews state, the pages are not 100% alcohol marker proof. They are definitely resistant, but using alcohol markers on a page will more than likely render the other side unusable/difficult to use. I scribbled with Ohuhu markers on a page I tore out to test the bleed resistance, and with the pink you can see I did 1 stroke, then up to 5. With the black, I just scribbled in a circle for around 10-15 seconds. The pink didn’t bleed through until 5 strokes, and it was super mild. The black definitely bled a lot more, though. While it didn’t touch the other paper too noticeably, you can see that the backside of the page I drew on has a good amount of bleed. If you blend your alcohol markers you know you need multiple strokes, and this can quickly lead to a 30-page notebook only having room for 30 drawings, instead of 60 like I had hoped. The paper quality is great though. It feels nice, it’s smooth, and has good weight. Feels nice to write and draw on, with little to no resistance against graphite and pens. I have not tested watercolor or acrylics on the paper yet though, so I do not know how it stands up to those medias. Also, I kinda hated the texture of the cover. Minor complaint, but it was weirdly textured with a ton of small lines, and an almost vinyl/plastic feel to it. I covered it in stickers to negate the texture, which was easy enough, but I wish it had not been textured, or was more mildly textured. But again, that’s a minor complaint, and very person-to-person. ... show more

So I'm an artist and I've seen so many reviews / videos about this sketchbook online so finishing up my last one I decided it would be a good time to officially try it out! The paper is thick, markers do bleed!! [Included plastic sheet for next page protection] The band that holds to book together is soft and wide, normally I don't like the band but this one is something else!! The hard cover of the book has a weird sorta sword to it but it's also kinda soft?? The cover is sorta weird compared to other hard cover sketchbooks. Overall I would rate it a good gift for anyone and everyone, it's a great beginner or advanced sketchbook!! ... show more

Honestly better than most binded sketchbooks I’ve tried. The outside is hard and sturdy and the book brings a ton of pages. It’s really thick. I was blown away by the quality of this sketchbook! Sealed in plastic by the manufacturer, then placed in a cardboard box. Well protected for shipping. It is fairly heavy, which surprised me. The very sturdy hard cover is textured. The paper is very smooth, but it takes pencil as well as ink. The pages are not as heavy as card stock, but definitely thicker than my other sketchbooks. My water based Tombow markers did not bleed through, as they do with other paper. However, the Ohuhu alcohol markers did bleed through. Luckily, they included a silicone mat to place between the pages. It’s an exact fit for the entire page, which is very nice to have. My book is pretty big and heavy for travel, but they have smaller options. I will probably buy a smaller version as well. I definitely recommend this sketchbook. Anyone who works with markers or ink, or even pencil sketching would love this. ... show more

Don’t get me wrong all paper with alcohol marker is gonna bleed but I figured that it would bleed less because it’s meant for markers but it really doesn’t. It is super smooth tho and they give you a plastic sheet to put whine pages to help with the bleeding

My daughter loves to draw in color with markers, when I bought this, I thought that it would not bleed through so she could draw both sides of the paper. It comes with a plastic sleeve, so it doesn’t bleed through on the next paper, but it does bleed through so you can’t draw something on the back of the page ... show more

The paper is perfect for markers ,it comes with a plastic piece the size of the notebook to put behind your paper so the marker doesn’t bleed on the other paper. Great for ink too. It also has a pocket on the back page for lose drawing.

I love taking all my notes on paper with thickness of card stock. I got tired of filing every paper i took notes on and got a notebook. The paper thickness is perfect, I have no smear issues, the texture of the outside of the notebook is super luxurious, the size is perfect amount of space, and it didn’t burn a hole in my wallet. I hope to fill this notebook up in a year and come back to repurchase! :) ... show more
