This is a great art kit for beginners. Plenty of pencils and charcoal to experiment and learn to control value. The sketchbook is a good quality paper. Everything that is needed to start drawing is there and for the price it is a great value.

    • NOOOOOO DON'T BUY IT!!
This is GARBAGE. Everything in this set, except the carrying case, is the lowest quality I've ever seen, even the cheapest set at Walmart is a billion times better than this. I can't use ANY of it, except the willow sticks. The sketchbook paper quality is poor. Materials do not blend, and it is rough. Using an eraser causes the pages to fall apart. I won't even give it to my 10 year old niece to learn on because it will make her think she is a bad artist, when really, its the materials that are bad. Now, I will say the case is awesome. I will be keeping this and filling it with quality materials, which conveniently has the brand name printed on it. I like it there to remind me which brand to never ever buy anything from again. This is a great little starting pencil and charcoal starter set --Is very well stocked with many different pencils and accessories --is nice size for a newbie like myself as I don't even know the different pencils and charcoals are used for but I am sure as I progress I will get a better idea of what is what and what else I may need in the future --kit comes in nice zipper pouch also to keep organized and for portability ... show more

I am very satisfied with the drawing supplies in the kit. There is enough to last here for years, but if you are drawing everyday you will use these fast. I’m trying to generate my own drawings and learning to paint at the same time. I’m learning how to shade items a little at a time and the blending stump and sand paper are oddly satisfying. I want to learn every piece of graphite and charcoal in the kit and how to use them. It is relaxing when I do use them. So I’m launched in my semi new hobby thanks for a great kit. ... show more

I use this so often and it’s such good quality!!! I recommend this to both beginner and professional artists! A little expensive but SOOOOOO worth it! It’s really easy say to carry around and I love the little guide it comes with that tells you what each item is used for. The sharpening with pencils often dishapes them and makes them a little harder to use, but there’s so much to use and it’s nonetheless great!! ... show more

UPDATE: The company reached out to me and sent me a new kit and explained the problem of what happened. I appreciated they’re honesty and willingness to fix the issue. New kit arrived in great condition!! Seems like a nice kit and was really excited to get it and this is what I opened the box too. I'm really impressed with the value and quality of this set - it has everything you need to get started with drawing (or refresh your existing supplies). I was actually pretty amazed at how many supplies are included for the price - the package was bigger than heavier than I expected it to be, and the supplies are all organized inside a sturdy box that's great for storage.
