    • Not that much difference between this and the Newport
I ended up getting this motor due to a shipping error. I had canceled the order and ordered a Newport with the same specs but the seller shipped the order. I did have some go arounds with the seller as they wanted to charge me for the error or make me pay to send it back, which became difficult because this is a Chinese product. Eventually the seller allowed me to keep the motor to make up for the error and difficulties. They were reasonable and helpful despite the early aggravation at the issue. Despite the shipping error, the motor was decent. I ended up running the Newport and Pexmor side by side on my boat, I just added a two battery 12 volt set up to run them off of. The Pexmor performed just as well as the Newport over a year of fishing with them both. But the Newport edges the Pexmor on quality. There is less flex in the Newport drive shaft, is has more rugged plastic on body housing, and the prop is made from a more durable and forgiving plastic. You can feel the quality is better in the Newport when working the controls as well. the Newport seems more rugged. That said, I think the Pexmor put out a tiny bit more power at full throttle, so I often used the Pexmor for quick maneuvering and the Newport for trolling. And after a year of pretty hard use the Pexmore was still in great condition. I ended giving it to a friend for their boat, and they haven't had problems with it either--definitely good value if your just looking for something to push a small boat around. ... show more

Came from China, so after I ordered, with past experience I figured I would be waiting a while, but no! Came when they said it would, packaged nice, took out of the box, put on the prop and hooked it straight to my trolling motor battery, she runs like she should, very well built and well worth the price. I will go to the lake Sunday, and if something happens I will update this rating, but as of now, it runs great, easy to put on prop, A+ for quality đź‘Ź and everything where else with my transaction ... show more

    • Unreliable At Best! Buyer Beware
I purchased this trolling motor to use with my intex excursion 5. I thought this motor would do the job PLUS give me a little more power being 46lb thrust. You get what you PAY for! This motor vibrated so bad past fwd speed 2 and reverse speed 1, I reached out to amazon to return item after THE FIRST USE. The seller refused to pay for shipping which he was obligated to pay also refused to accept the item back even after a full refund was determined. The fact the seller ddidnt even want the item returned lets you know its trash. Buy at your own RISK!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Buy a MK and pay more $ its worth it in the long run. ... show more
