  • Ditch Audio Control
Size: 2-Channel with xBOOST
My audio control 6i loc unit started giving me problems after 1 year. The unit started giving me random static noise on all channels. I double check out all connection's they were fine. I finally decided to ditch the loc and get me a new nvx. This unit sounds amazing and fix my problem. Well worth the price and converts clean signal for ur car audio. I'm a believer for this brand for live. A++ ... show more

  • Great buy
Size: 2-Channel with xBOOST
So, here is what I have found. The unit works great. I am passing an oem amp bass channel output for my 2015 VW golf (fender system). As advertised the unit restores the bass when the oem drops off, but I noticed that there is a delay when the bass comes in at the set high volume. Nothing too crazy but it is noticable. same thing when turning the volume down it will take a bit for the bass to drop off to regular level. So, for a little bit the bass will be louder than the speakers. It's not a deal breaker and I also have an lc2i in another stock system and it does about the same thing. At least here the value proposition is better. Nvx gives you the bass knob and it's almost half the price of the lc2i. Worth mentioning is that you can set the rca inputs up to 10 volts if your amp takes that high voltage. Overall, I am happy with the unit. ... show more

  • Perfect for adding aftermarket amps and woofers to a factory head unit.
Size: 2-Channel with xBOOST
Worked great, easy to install. I wish there were more instructions or videos on how to set it up for optimal performance but I figured it out after a little bit of tinkering. Wiring and setup were easy, for the most part. The remote sensing feature is great but it has some drawbacks. If you have a smart key system that for some reason activates the stereo like a 2023 Kia Forte this little guy will turn on and also power on your amps. This had me worried that the amps would drain the battery but it doesn't because the car times out and shuts the radio off automatically. There are other things that annoy me about that but it's a fault of the car and not the converter itself. You can also wire it up differently to turn on other ways so it's basically a non-issue. Highly recommended if you want to keep your factory radio and add subs. ... show more

  • Unit was dead when it arrived
Size: 2-Channel with xBOOST
I bought this unit in early September 2022 with the intension of installing it. However, I live in Florida and had to evacuate for Hurricane Ian in late September which not only prevented me from installing it, but also made me go past my return window. Before you go on thinking this was the cause of failure - I ended up not being in the direct path of the storm and saw no flooding whatsoever. October comes and I go to install this unit. I run wiring I already had from a previous install and this unit doesn't turn on. I buy a new wiring kit thinking maybe one of the wires are broken internally - still nothing. So I bench test this and? no power, no lights. I contact support which had me running around with different tests and procedures until they finally said that I need to return the product for repair. While it took a few months and a lot of work on my part, this company did finally send me a unit that works, although a different model. So I give three stars because the company did come through in the end but I cannot comment on the replacement since it is a different model. ... show more

I was skeptical. But greatly surprised! Installation was not as easy as I had hoped, but I blame myself for that.

  • NOT the same as LC2i and xboost is wildly sporadic
Size: 2-Channel PRO with xBOOST
2nd update: The sporadic bass peaks ended up blowing my sub (i was overpowering it a bit). Bought a new MUCH beefier sub, but noticed the bass was still wildly uneven, even with Xbass turned all the way down. Like this, the bass was really weak on a lot of songs, while the occasional track produced absurdly thunderous bass. Unlistenable. On many songs the bass was simply warbling up and down. Removed the LOC from my system and just connected to my amp’s speaker level inputs (which should be inferior, right?). Voila. Bass FINALLY sounds right, no matter what I play, no matter how loud. Clean, too. I don’t even notice bass roll off. YMMV. I cant say this product won’t work better for other people, but I returned it for a refund. Kudos for amazon and sonix allowing the return. UPDATE: I initially gave 4 starts per below “original” review. Now I’m giving 1 star because xboost doesn’t even work, and that’s the primary reason I bought this unit. The xboost should evenly counter bass drop off of the factory unit as you increase the volume, but oh boy, that’s NOT what happens! One second I can barely hear my sub, and the next second thunderous, massively exaggerated bass, and then it jumps back and forth throughout the song. And it happens at both loud and soft listening levels. And I don’t know how to fix it because the instructions aren’t detailed. Yes, i tried decreasing the xboost levels and it still happens. Is my unit defective defective??? ORIGINAL: Why does everyone keep suggesting this is basically a clone of the LC2i? There is a MAJOR difference, and it’s a huge disappointment for me. Look at the RCA outputs. The NVX has one. LC2i has two! The LC2i model facilitates also adding an amp for for mids and highs. This one is only for adding a sub amp. People talk about adding a splitter. No good! You want to be have independent control. Turn the knob on your bass control and …everything gets louder? Pointless. ... show more
