  • It works great so far!
These little dongles are amazing. I've tried it with the following guitars at my home studio: Taylor Acoustic 320ce active pick up, Gibson Les Paul Standard HP, Schecter Hellraiser Sustaniac Active pick up EMG 81, Gibson ES-330. All of them sound great! It definitely sounds slightly different than the cable, but in my experience, any element in the signal chain will always modify the sound. Just to clarify, it does not sound bad, just different. I did notice the battery goes down faster in the transmitter than in the receiver. My WiFi router is placed about 10 ft away from my set up but I intentionally went to play next to the router with no audible interference. I also experienced hardly noticeable drops here end there, but for practicing at home it's nothing to worry about. I haven't been able to test it on the stage yet. ... show more

  • Make sure the units can "see" each other.
Obstructions can cause drop off issues. Otherwise these items perform very well. They hold a consistent charge over the course of a four hour gig. I can perform sound checks while still playing, so this is really useful. We have even used these to connect 2 Bose L1 compacts across the stage. Pretty versatile and well constructed. You will need to thoroughly test frequency pairing if there are other wireless units on stage. I have bought two of these units so far based upon high confidence in their performance. ... show more

  • Near zero latency for audio and guitar from 32bit/48KHz. But still not meet my expectation.
it was rare to find device with 32bit /48khz sampling. this is the only one in market. I check many other devices and all around 24 Bit or 16 bit. i test from both acoustic guitar, and also for between PA and Power speaker (connect transmitter to line out of mixer, and connect Receiver to line in of power speaker). There are 4 channel selections, the #1 is always have drop out and delay due to interference with wifi router nearby, the other 3 channels are good. The other 3 channels providing a good Sound quality and zero delay and no drop out, Almost as close as wire connected for electric or steel string guitars. Also I test in parallel with AKG WMS40 UHF Wireless and both devices provide the same sound quality and closed to cable. Even though 32 bit sampling but it is only close of using cable. For electric guitar with heavy distortion or Steel Acoustic guitar with other sound effects then probably you dont hear the different (8/10 compare to wire) ; however if using Acoustic Nylon guitar then it will loss a high frequency or zing zing of high frequency from strings, also it add more mid range, also loss the original low freq. For Nylon string guitar this device does not perform well - 7/10 compare to wired The Transmitter battery usually last 2-3 hrs continuous playing, but the Receiver last twice as long. Otherwise this would be a good unit. Will I buy this again? May be, if I scarify for the missing high frequency, modified bass or I need to turn up EQ little bit for 12k and up., and low down the mid range. Overall: Like: Portable, professional & quality made, decent price. Very Good for electric and steel string guitars; near zero latency Dislike: 2-3 hrs Battery usage, modify signal of nylon string guitar. ... show more

  • 6 Month review
They worked great at first but after a month or so began cutting in and out. It doesn't matter which room I use them in or what channel they are on. They do OK as long as I keep them within 7 or 8 feet of each other but, still cut in and out occasionally. Too bad as the NUX B-2 has good sound and almost no latency. Maybe I just got a bad pair. ... show more

  • Disappointed - NUX does not hold up.
I really liked this wireless unit when I first received it, but the experience has gone steadily downhill since - and they are now completely unusable. The bass player in my band and I both purchased these at the same time. Both worked right off the bat, bass players transmitter stopped working after a week. NUX was VERY difficult to get a response from, but they did send a new unit eventually. Been using these for about 6 months now. My band typically plays 3-4hr gigs. When I first received these, the battery would last for a whole gig (turning off TXR & RXR during breaks). Battery life has degraded in a short amount of time. I started trying to charge the TXR during breaks, as it's battery drains much more quickly, but I always have to switch back to a cable to make it through the gig. Sound quality was decent at first, but is now horrible. Bass player and I both experience far more latency and the signal stutters quite audibly. Because of this, I can no longer use this wireless system for gigs. I ONLY use these during sound check - so I can walk out and hear the mix through the house. As soon as sound check is over, I unplug these and use a cable instead. Save your money, buy a decent wireless system. NUX B2 is not for professional use. ... show more

  • Awesome for home use but it absolutely SUCKS for live playing.
This thing works great at my home, eliminating the need for cables there. However, I've tried using this thing TWICE in a live setting and it flat out did not work at all. Why? Couldn't tell ya. I was relegated to a long cable both times, though. Perhaps spending a little more on a Line 6 Relay would be a better choice. ... show more
