  • Love this stovetop
Style: Double
So we bought this to setup in a temporary kitchen while a real kitchen is being built. I have never used an induction stove before, but I really love it. The locking ability is super great because we have a special needs child who doesn't understand hot things. It boils a kettle of water so so fast! We do have the silicon mats on top to protect the glass a little bit, I recommend them. But we use it every day for all of our cooking and water heating because we have no hot water here. It works like a charm. Largest thing I have cooked is a huge pot of chili, and it handled the large stock pot fine. ... show more

  • Quiet and works well!
Style: Portable
I had bought another brand of induction cooktop and found it very difficult to use. I struggled to cook rice as the burner was either not hot enough or too hot. Also it was so noisy and I wondered if all the induction burners were this noisy?? I returned it and bought this one . This is a very nice cooktop and the temperature ranges are much more suitable for cooking as I have no problems and I've been used to a gas stove for years! It's pretty quiet and very easy to keep clean. Not to mention the reports about how gas stoves really aren't that great for our health! Also if I'm cooking something that might stink up my apartment I can take my cooktop outside! Can't do that with my gas stove! ... show more

  • Setting the right temperature is a bit tricky, but I'll get used to it
Style: Double
This double cooktop works well enough, and I'm glad that my kitchen will now be gas-free except for the rare occasions when I'll use the oven. Eventually I want to get a full induction stove, but I'm not ready for that yet, so this is a good temporary measure. Having this cooktop also lets me figure out what I'll want in a future permanent purchase. The hardest thing for me so far is figuring out what temperature to set things at, because it's all just numerical, with large jumps in temperature between the choices. For example, the least hot setting is 140º and the next step up is 210º. That's a big jump. There's also no explanation about why there are fry/steam/water functions yet the temperature choices are all the same. Why three different functions to get the same temperatures? With the gas burners, I'm used to seeing the flame and choosing a temperature depending on how much flame is coming out, and you can make very incremental changes. Now I'm just looking at a bunch of numbers and have no idea what I should set it at. I burnt the bottom of a saucepan when I was heating up some milk, for example. But I expect over time I'll get better at that. A contractor told me that there are full induction stoves that mimic gas burners by changing the intensity of blue lights on the display. I expect I'll prefer something like that when I go full induction stove. The touch buttons are very sensitive. On more than one occasion I've wiped the stovetop and accidentally activated something. It's also annoying that you can't really turn the thing completely off without unplugging it. Why not have an On/Off button that actually switches it off?! ... show more

  • Works great!
Style: Double
Versatile 2 burner cooktop, bought this to use with induction cookware and to get away from gas. Easy to use, easy to cook with two pots. The burners are far enough away that you have plenty of room and you're not crowded. Heat's super fast and lots of functionality to customize your cooking. Also love the timer which is a nice function and I also love that it turns off when you remove the cookware. Unlike a gas or electricity which would stay on forever and eventually either burn down the house or catch on fire. Induction is way better and safer. I bought a used model just to see how this would work and I am totally in love with it . .time to disconnect the gas line. ... show more

  • A major flaw makes this almost unusable for me
Style: Double
This has a major flaw that makes it almost unusable The preset temps are 140, 210, 260, 300, 350, 430, and 460. There is no temp setting that works to simmer your food. Around 180 or so is a good temp to simmer at. The 210 setting causes things to burn if left for even a few minutes without constant stirring. The 140 setting is to low to cook things like rice, pasta, reduce/ thicken any kind of sauce, cook a soup ,Etc. Around 90% of the way I cook is not doable with this cooktop. The low setting is also to close to the food danger zone (40f to 140f) for me to be comfortable keeping foods at for long. Food served out of a pot kept at the low setting is too cold to eat If all your cooking requires only high heat, like frying or rapid boiling, this heats up very quickly and works well with all my pots and pans. If you need to cook at below boiling temps, don't even think about buying this, it is a frustrating struggle to use. It's either too cold to eat or burnt. There are other cheaper options with better temperature control. I will be buying a different one and selling this at a loss on FB marketplace. ... show more

  • Make Holiday Cooking Easier
Style: Portable
I love love love having 2 more burners for cooking during the holidays! One of the best things about this particular cooktop is its lightweight and portability. Not only does it cook food faster than traditional stovetops, but it also uses less energy, helping me reduce my carbon footprint. The compart size also makes it perfect for small kitchens or when I need an extra cooking station for parties and gatherings. The ability to cook simultaneously on both burners has been a lifesaver. No longer do I have to worry about juggling multiple pots and pans on a cramped stovetop. With this cool lil gadget, I can whip up a full-course meal with ease, and everything comes out perfectly cooked and delicious. Best feature - size and timer ... show more
