This is a well made cast iron grill. It is heavy grade, though not unmanageable; pretty much what I was expecting and will probably last a lifetime. I use it on a gas stovetop and it cooks very well. The sidewalls and channels on both sides do a good job of capturing and containing any grease - including when cooking bacon. It also cleans up fairly easily. It is cast iron so you do have to treat it to maintain it but this is no different from the other cast iron cooking gear I own and use every day. If I had a complaint it would be that the casting grains are very sharp and shred anything I try to wipe it with but I expect this will be less of an issue as I use it more. Heavy duty, quality griddle. It works with an induction stovetop bridge configuration, despite the fact that it does not lie flat on my stovetop. The only drawback is the risk of scratches to my glass top. And breakage, too, I suppose. This is super heavy. I wish it was lighter in construction. Could not believe it! I used my griddle on my new induction cooktop. While it was heating up, I heard loud noise like a gun went off. My griddle cracked! Very unusual, there is a similar post in the reviews. Honestly, he was difficult to clean.. I can’t say I loved it. Don’t buy this brand.
