I really like this little Wine Cooler. It Is very Quiet and can accommodate some of the larger Wines Bottles as well. It’s fits just below this breakfast area in this little loft. I couldn’t have gotten one of the bigger ones, and this is just what I needed. It’s holds 15 Bottles and keeps them nice and Cold. It’s right by the doors of my Rooftop deck and I can just reach in and pull out a cold bottle. The interior light goes out after a few minutes of non use and it runs pretty quiet. The Bedroom is right next door to the Kitchen and I Can’t hear a thing at night. It’s very nice not to have the bottles taking up room in the Fridge, I really like it. ... show more

I bought this unit 11 months ago and love it. It is one of the rare units that actually keeps the temperature at 41 (I like my wine cold and most only go down to 46). The unit holds a lot of bottles, is nice looking, and works as advertised. Unfortunately, at the 11-month mark, the fan started making a lot of noise. I asked the company if they can provide me with a new fan. Instead of doing that, they sent me out a whole new unit and received it within a week. Amazing beyond belief. Overall this is a good wine refrigerator and it die have a good capacity to hold bottles as well as beer cans and other beverages. I do have a problem adjusting the temperature but their support team responded to my email and help correct the situation within couple days. The other problem I am having is that it is making noise it is not silent as I expected it to be. Hope they can help correct this problem. ... show more

As someone that works as a sommelier and winemaker, I can safely say if you’re debating this versus others, you can’t go wrong with the Nutrichef. Just buy it... as long as you’re aware of its limitations (red wines only and better if you keep it tucked away). If you’re on the fence or think this fridge is good for everything, read below: I bought this 12 bottle fridge as a supplement to my larger 48 bottle fridge I have (I live in a small-ish flat in a big city and needed to keep certain red wines at a different temperature than the bigger fridge). For the price, it’s fantastic, despite a couple quirks (that may not affect you depending on where it’s kept). KEY POINTS: 1.) Efficiently keeps within a 3-4 degree range of the temperature you set it at (I set it 5 degrees lower than what I want the actual temperature to be at, just to counteract this). Since this is on the lower end of wine fridges and I have the one without the compressor, that is to be expected, especially if where you keep it is a warmer location—my flat is regularly around 72 degrees F. If you’re using this to age reds long term (1+ years), definitely err on the cooler side... Reds should generally be kept around 54-55 degrees. Knowing that the unit isn’t always precise, I set my fridge at 52 in the cooler seasons and 50 in summer since mine doesn’t have a compressor and uses just a fan to cool. 2.) Fairly quiet relative to the context, especially amongst the other noises of a kitchen. However, I keep mine on the bar side of my small apartment kitchen, facing the living room, due to lack of space. If you aren’t sitting right next to it you probably won’t hear it. If if they do an improved version, I suggest to the engineers to add some noise dampening foam or some protector over the fan to shield dust and noise. If I was so inclined, the back seems to be pretty accessible if you wanted to tack on something to dampen the noise but not inhibit the fan’s ventilation... I’ve had louder wine fridges, but also had quieter. 3.) I’ve seen reviews of people complaining about not being able to fit Bordeaux/pinot bottles in the vertical slots, and that is correct; they will fit in the horizontal ones, though. For those with this complaint, know that most higher end wine fridges don’t have vertical slots, because you’re not really supposed to store wine long term this way. Most wine fridges that have the vertical slots do so mostly for whites, but this fridge doesn’t really get cold enough for whites anyway (unless you like them not as chilled), so it’s not a huge concern for my usage, personally. 4.) My biggest and only real gripe is that the blue temperature light on the front can’t be turned off, and really lights up a dark room (I keep this opposite my kitchen facing my living room so it definitely lights up the living room more than you’d expect). If you don’t have light coloured walls or you keep this out of sight it won’t be an issue, but the fact that you can’t turn off the temperature light is frustrating for me. I have wanted a small wine cooler for some time but was hesitant to make the investment. As my interest in wine has increased the need for proper storage of wine became increasingly important. This wine cooler refrigerator has filled the need perfectly for me and I couldn't be more pleased with it. The unit is suitable for setting on a cabinet shelf (and I would have except my upper cabinets would have to be modified to make room) so mine sets in a nice little spot in the kitchen out of the way. I was impressed at it's build quality and how handsome the unit looks. It's stainless steel appearance fit in perfectly with my other stainless steel kitchen appliances. The unit is whisper quiet - I can never hear it running and it keeps the contents at a perfectly controlled 57 F regardless of how full it is. It makes a huge difference to be able to reach in and pour out a glass of wine at the ideal temperature without it being too cold from having been stored in the large refrigerator. I highly recommend the unit and I have found that the 12 bottle capacity is more than adequate for my needs and still gives me room to grow into my wine collection. The unit is fully assembled and the only thing you have to do is attach the stainless steel door handle to the door. That was a bit tricky and I believe could've been manufactured in such a way that would've been easier for the end user to assemble. But that is no reason not to purchase - just be aware that it might take you a few minutes to get it attached. Cheers. ... show more

Door came damaged/assembled wrong and now the item is out of stock and cannot be replaced. Sad because my friend has this fridge and loves it. Amazon will not give me the 34 bottle fridge over the 28 bottle even though the one I purchased is out of stock and it isn’t my fault that it came damaged.
