Description

Allows a Nikon type lens to be mounted onto a Canon EOS type camera. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm (AE metering), or any other functions are not retained using this adapter. In this case you will need to meter in "stop-down mode" since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body.

  • Well constructed & engineered
Style: Sony-E Body
I purchased this with the intent of allowing use of my Nikon lenses with the new Sony NEX Video Cam. The adapter works as advertised however Sony has missed the mark with the camera. I have returned the camera and will now return the adapter. The adapter allows use of all my lenses and the Nikon lenses are a dramatic improvement over the 2 available Sony lenses...the 2 main reasons for returning the camera are: the microphone system is too sensitive and picks ups every strange noise from the sides of the action (4 mics with no control) and the viewfinder cannot be flipped 180 degrees to see yourself when shooting yourself...I went with the Sony HXRMC50U...a far superior camera (IMHO) at a lower price. ... show more

  • Novaflex EOS Nikon Lens Adapter Works Well
Style: Canon EF Body
This one came Ken Rockwell recommended. Expensive, but works well with my Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II. A far site better than my FD to EOS POS adapter. It is easy to attach but a little diffcult to remove. I didn't receive instruction with it, but figured out after a little trial and error that it can be simply removed by depressing the small lever on the side, (and I do mean small). The other reviews I read recommended having a seperate adapter for each lens but at that price I can live with my one, though I am looking for another at a cheaper price. Two would be twice as nice. ... show more

  • Happy days are here again!
Style: Canon EF Body
These are wonderful if you have some old Nikon lenses lying around. Two things you need to know 1. At first They are difficult to take off however that's not a problem when to get the hang of it. And besides you want the lens mount to be tight and secure anyways. 2. They do not transfer the mechanical functionality between Nikon and Canon. When you use a Nikon lens on a Canon body the lens is all manual. So if you're used to the camera doing all the work (autofocusing) you might be a little frustrated. But if you are a professional skilled in manual photography. This will work fine for you. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit
Style: Sony-E Body
I've tried a lot of lens adaptors and most of them have been too tight. This one fits perfectly. If you're unsure about the price, keep in mind that what you're paying for is a well-manufactured adaptor. If you're attaching lenses that are worth hundreds or thousands of dollars, I think it's worth the extra money to get something that connects correctly. I also have the Novoflex adaptors for converting M and EF lenses to Sony E Mount cameras, and they fit perfectly, as well. Keep in mind that this adaptor does not do autofocus. ... show more

  • Unfortunately Not For Me
Style: Canon EF Body w/Lens Aperture Control
Unfortunately I will be returning this adapter. Although I have Nikon G lenses that are supposed to work with this adapter mine would not fit on the adapter. I contacted Novoflex and they were very prompt in their replies. Everything I tried to make it fit didn't work. I like my Novoflex that I purchased to use with my Leica M lenses on my Sony A7R so it's not like I don't think they make a great product. The Leica M adapter works perfectly with my Sony. Also, Focus Camera has been a great supplier and I've been happy with every other purchase from them. ... show more

  • Well made, but hardly as described.
Style: Sony-E Body
From the description, you might think that this overpriced metal tube does more than the $10-$15 versions floating around. Yes, I fell for that. Wishful thinking, I suppose. This adapter does nothing more than allow the physical connection of a Nikon lens to the NEX body. There is no electronic connection at all, so it's little more than an add-on mounting ring with a price way out of line with the other cold mounts. It would be nice to see the description updated to show the full limitations. ... show more

  • Entirely wasted money - not a single shot in acceptable focus
Style: Fuji-X Mount Body
I have captured several dozen frames with Nikon glass on an X-E1 using this adapter. Not a single shot was in acceptable focus. None. I tried my darnedest to focus properly using the latest Fuji focus peaking. What appeared perfectly in focus during peaking shifted out of focus when the shutter release was half pressed, appearing this way in the finished capture. Aperture control was so crude as to be useless. Stopping down afforded only marginally better sharpness at considerable loss of speed. This was wasted, wasted money. Duct tape strapping your Nikon lens to an X body will be just as effective and less costly. Caveat emptor. Wish I could get my money back. ... show more

  • Excellent quality and fit
Style: Leica M Body
Excellent quality and fit. The only downside is it is very tight. I suppose the German tolerances are really tight. It takes anl effort to put on and take off.
