Further, the carabiners seem a little better also and work well and go on and off with no problems. I like this rope and plan on using it a lot. No issues. Seems fine. Relatively tangle free & straightens out / no kinks when un-winding. Nice carabiners for ends. Will use with SOB belay device and looped prusik loops to work on steep embankment.

I’m using this rope for tree cutting. I needed a very strong rope that I could trust not to stretch or mostly break. So far I have really tested it by using it to pull trees in the direction I wanted them to fall. It refuses to stretch and has even exceeded well past the needed strength. This rope is pretty good quality and a good value for sure. The carabiners aren’t great but I’m not going to use this one for climbing. The rope itself is well made and very durable. It works great for what I needed.

Overall this is great option for anybody needing a spare length of rope to use now and then. What I will say is that right out of the box it's not good for climbing. The rope itself is plenty strong, but like with most things, the weak link isn't the main product. In this case it's the carabiners and rope terminations that I just wouldn't trust with my safety. One of the carabiners seems to be slightly bent to the point where the threaded clasp can't fully lock the carabiner. Additionally the rope terminates in a very strange way, it's just got some thread going through each side, sewing it together. It's still plenty strong for most use cases, but seeing as how they billed this rope as "For Climbing", it feels a little disingenuous. ... show more

When you buy a climbing rope, you are putting a lot of trust in something you can't really test. That is why there are certification standards for climbing gear. The product description says these ropes are EN 892:2012+A1:2016 standard tested which is 'Mountaineering equipment - Dynamic mountaineering ropes - Safety requirements and test methods' The product also says it is a static rope, so strange to use a dynamic rope test standard. Now, the carabiners are also a little suspect. Climbing carabiners should be UiAA and/or CE rated. The standard for climbing carabiners is EN 12275:2013, generally not ASTM F1744-20. These have no rating stamp on the carabiners. Climbing carabiners also have an straight side across from the mouth. These are pear shaped. So, if you are going to use this rope for climbing, ditch the supplied carabiners. This seems fine for a utility rope, even for climbing utility, but too many questionable details to put my life on the line with it.
