I used this tool to pull edges of vinyl flooring planks to help seat the planks when they were near walls. It worked wonderfully. The plastic knob at the top makes it easy to tap the planks into position. There is also some padding on the bottom to help minimize the possibility of scratching the planks. The white plastic piece that you hit came off. So I glued it in, and it broke off even after I glued it. I suggest they come up with a different material for that piece. If you hit the bare metal it will get dangerously smashed and super sharp which will cut your fingers up.

After bending that cheap pull bar you get from the big box store after only 30 sq ft of floor, I jumped on Amazon. Not only did this arrive early but before the big box store could deliver on a new flimsy POS to replace the previous limp noodle that came with their kit. This thing is awesome. Heavy, sturdy, takes a beating literally and the pry bar on the end is a bonus. We were constantly trading this thing back and forth; I should have bought two because I went through 5 of those cheap plastic tap blocks before just cutting some scrap ends to place over the tongue on the end of my row and then use this to pull the planks together. No more chipped edges. But be careful, you can hit this thing hard enough to move your whole floor. Make sure your perimeter is securely wedged. I might just buy another before adding on to my house next year. Thanks ... show more
