They help keep food splatters contained and easy to clean up! These are a must have for microwave use! The only thing to look out for is if you have a very moist food, it can make the evaporated liquid form a big puddle on the bottom of the microwave. Still, very easy to wipe up.

There are other food covers on Amazon that are cheaper, perhaps more convenient, but buying U.S. products (hopefully all components with this one are American-made) is extremely important to me. I don't mind the extra cost, especially when the product is very well made (love the knob to lift the cover), easy to clean, etc. The additional feature of being able to semi-steam food via the cover keeps meals moist. I won't be attaching it to the oven roof, but just keep it handy inside the microwave. The 11" size perfectly fits my 11" Mikasa Italian Countryside plates, even "snapping" onto the edge! Couldn't be a better fit. Fine with smaller dishes as well. Please buy good quality U.S.-made products whenever you can, and this is one of them. ... show more

I really like these microwave splatter covers. First of all, they are affordable, but more importantly, they are durable and protect your microwave from splatters. They are easy to wash in the dishwasher or they clean quickly by handwashing if needed again right away.

I read other reviews and noticed that there is 2 versions of this. The clear vs. the cloudy. The cloudy ones get mostly good reviews. So, that's what I got. They fit over the plate nicely. I also noticed there seems to be several ways to purchase these. The 2 for $12 deal (Jul-2024) seemed the most cost effective. So, that's my choice and they came to me just fine. No defects. So far they do what I expected but I haven't had them long. We'll see how they hold up. ... show more
