  • Easy to use, lots of options, loses battery life quickly.
Purchased 3 to put on our tanks while we were gone for a long weekend. Loved having up to 4 feeding times per day, and up to 3 full rounds of food each time. (Did NOT need that much, though!) Seemed to do great! I decided to leave them up so that we didn't have to worry about feedings each day. After a few weeks (maybe 5?), it seemed that they stopped working. The battery life was low, but the display was on. You could hit the manual button to feed, and it worked. But after we noticed that it only sporadically fed at the scheduled times, we decided to take them down. The next time we are away from home, we will still use them, with fresh batteries, and put them up at least a day or two ahead of time to ensure they are working. ... show more

  • Great automatic fish feeder
This is a great automatic fish feeder if you are away for several days. Works dependably to feed fish in a fish tank.

  • Clunky to program, eats battery life.
It does the job, but there are several flaws: It's confusing to program. It's hard to predict how much food will come out, especially with flake type foods. It worked okay the first time I used it, but stopped working during the middle of my vacation the second time because it ran out of battery power, so be sure to add fresh batteries each time. There seems to also be a newer model out that is USB charged. ... show more

  • Bad quality. Failed twice already
Nice at the beginning when I first got it. Hard to set up and understand the instructions but once you set all your setting up it is super convenient and easy to turn off an on. Once weekend the feeder died half way through a feeding and caused a horrible tank accident with tons of food. Changed out the batteries and about 2 weeks later it will not turn on again. Thought it was dead batteries but upon opening up the battery slot I see it is all corroded and rusty. Might be due to humidity? Not sure but I wouldn’t expect that from a feeder that is around water all the time. Need a refund or a new unit!! I’ve had it for less than 2 months. ... show more

  • Burns up batteries. Hard to adjust for small portions.
This feeder does it’s job, and quietly. However it is eating up batteries rapidly. So far, it uses a pair of AA batteries about every two weeks. Further, it is difficult to adjust the dispensing aperture for a small portion. I have a solitary middle-aged goldfish in a 29 gallon tank, so I don’t need to drop very much food in. I’m using Tetra goldfish variety pellets, which are a couple of millimeters in diameter. It was necessary for me to close the aperture to the second notch, and then use scotch tape to further block the opening about 50%. With that, the portion is about right. For a larger tank with more fish, I suppose it would work better… All-in-all, and mainly because of the battery usage, I cannot recommend purchasing this item. ... show more

  • Perfect vacay feeder
Spent a week away and our turtle stayed fed! Works great. Super easy to set up and can recharge instead of electricity or batteries. Recommend.

  • Works perfectly, worry free.it
It came fully charged. I ran it for a week before I left for a 3 week vacation. Just to make sure it was going to do the job well. It worked perfectly. In fact I now leave it running every day as the perfect feeder for my fish. It did take a few tries to understand how to program the times and frequency of the feeder but once that is done, its perfect. Even if the power goes out it doesn't miss a beat. It has it's own internal battery and is charged with its suppied USB cable. After a month it still had a full charge. It also has an over ride button if you want to feed them while you stand there. That was a perfect way to determine if the feeder was dispensing the proper amount of food. The machine is able to be customized to many many different feeding situations. I highly recommend it. I have totally automated my fish tank. From lights, pumps and feeder. I don't have to have someone come into my house to take care of the fish. ... show more

  • Variations in Quality
Bought this once and worked perfectly until it fell in my aquarium. Then bought a second one to replace it and during feeding time when it rotated it would click click click click click click click click click click click click. At first it was only a few times and then it just kept on clicking and never fully rotated to feed my fish so I threw it in the garbage. I may buy it again but I'm sending it back if I hear 1 click lol. ... show more
