Have used the pickup tool, magnet and mirror effectively in vehicle engine bays. Good tools, seem sturdy - if you do not get aggressive with them. Mirror & magnet can be awkward for anything that requires maneuvering around things. Pick-up claw has helped in several situations - its' only drawback is awkward portability.
