The 2 bank battery tender was purchased for my boat which has 2 batteries. The unit came packaged nicely and the instructions and ease of installation were super simple. The unit is somewhat heavy or dense as it is not large but has some weight to it. I installed it to the 2 batteries within about 15 minutes and programmed it for the right battery type without having to read the instructions as their video showing how to set it up was perfect. It shows the battery condition status which is nice as a confidence builder for a boater. Mounting the unit is pretty easy but having a helping had is useful as holding the unit while trying to mark, drill and screw in the fasteners I found really could use a second person to hold the unit while you install it. But, that is a small inconvenience and was very pleased with the length of cables and power cord for the unit. It was made of high quality materials and the unit was in perfect shape when unboxed. In todays world of shipping, it is nice to see robust packaging practices to assure the customer gets the product in pristine condition. Good job NOCO. ... show more

Easy to install, space was tight so I use velcro (not included) to attach it to the fuel tank. Wires are plenty long enough to reach both batteries. Didn’t take long to fully charge them. Needed replacement charger and was skeptical about buying the cheap unit. This is one instance that cheaper price does not equal cheap quality. Great unit and well made. Charger works well and like advertised. My boat has 3 batteries but I bought a 2 bank model. Made a jumper wire to connect one of the 2 batteries connected to the charger to my starting battery when I have boat parked. Didn't want my outboard charging trolling motor batteries when running so I take jumper off while using. Charger charges all three and shuts off. ... show more

    • Potential Issue w/ 1 Bank Failing For Some but Great Warranty

First off, this is my 6th NOCO product and all have been awesome. Great chargers, boosters, etc. Quality and performance has been superb! This GEN 5X2 forced me to have to use their customer service, warranty, etc. which has also been stellar. These GEN 5X2 dual bank chargers seem to have a common issue with one of the banks failing. One bank, mine was the second bank that failed, blinks between the charge bar and the standby lights. No matter the battery, the fuse, the connection, etc. A way to test it is to use a multi-meter to test for continuity between the positive and/or negative battery lead on that bank with the a/c power cord prongs - all disconnected, unplugged, no power, etc. The good bank will have some continuity like 36-37ohms. The bad bank will have nothing, pure open circuit. If it happens within the return with Amazon then use that. Otherwise, if its under the 3yr warranty then use no.co site to contact customer service for a warranty claim. Mine was after the 30 day return window. Initially buying it we only had one battery on our boat, knowing we were getting a second house battery. A couple months later we installed a second house battery on our boat and connecting the second charger bank, it immediately started the dreaded blink between the first charge indicator and the standby light, so that bank never worked. Not sure it is an immediate fail for others but was for ours. NOCO customer service was quick and easy. I reached out late at night with their request a call option on their website. The next day got a couple calls because I didn't have my phone near me, an email with troubleshooting steps, and next steps for a warranty claim. They'll let you ship it in and wait for a return after receiving and testing the failed unit. Or, they'll let you buy a replacement from their website - which was cheaper than here on Amazon - and refund the purchase once they've receive the return faulty unit and test it to verify the unit is faulty. I chose this option for a quicker replacement. 4 stars mainly for the unit failing but definitely love their products and am now a fan of their customer service. I'll follow up with review if the replacement unit fails and drop stars. If all is well, I think 4 is sufficient for an otherwise great product and company but consideration for this mishap. ... show more

Like this charger. I use it to charge 2 12vdc 75ahr batteries that I use to run led lights. They take about 9 hrs to charge after a full day battery use. So overnight. Highly recommend.
