So, this did take a few tricks, but I love it now. First, it comes with everything including a little cutting guide, which is great. The razors are sharp and cut through well, but slivers of blind end up everywhere. Second, it attaches easily, I put it behind my blinds with no issues. Third, adjusting it isn’t super easy. It doesn’t want to go down, so I had to weigh it down and let it stretch out. There’s still a slight gap and my window is smaller than its max height, it should keep settling. Figuring out that I had to pull the string to get it to stay up took me way too long, but now it stays where I want it. Fourth, when down it does a good job blocking out light, sound, and temperature. Overall, I really like this and ended up ordering another and will get another few once I get settled. ... show more

It is great that it is so flexible for that,. but I think the next time I would go to the local big box store where they cut it for you. Overall this does a pretty good job blocking out the light, as long as it is cut accurately. I don't know how long the adhesive will last - it is not the easiest to raise and lower this shade. So better to install where it won't need adjustment very often or it may fail sooner. I don't know about sound suppression, it is pretty quiet where I installed it. ... show more

Just installed this in my mudroom. Took me about a 20 minutes. It’s definitely a measure twice, cut once situation here. Be very careful about your measurements. I installed them on the inside of my window frame & they are blacking the light out well. This is where the measurements are super important. If you’re even 1/2” off on your width, you’re going to have gaps on the sides that will let light in handily. I like that it included all that you need for installation, down to the razor. A helpful addition would be a printed ruler on the top part where you initiate the cutting to trim it to width. Alas, it doesn’t have that, but boy, that would’ve kicked this right up to a 5 star. The adhesive seems to be sticking well enough right now & if it fails, I’ll surely be updating this review. I did thoroughly clean the area where I was sticking this & even wiped it down with rubbing alcohol. I suggest you do the same, just to be sure you’re getting the best adhesion. The string to operate it is unlike any other blind I’ve ever had. It’s a little awkward in that you hold a button at the bottom of the blind while holding/pulling the string to make it go up. While it’s not difficult, it’s just not like a “normal” blind & takes some getting used to. All in all, it’s a nice shade that hopefully will last. I can recommend it & even moreso to those who rent or otherwise cannot or will not poke holes in your window frame. ... show more

We have had temperature problems in our dining room since we moved in, and I finally was like ‘we need to try something thermal’ Boom. This is a friggin godsend. There is no more excess heat coming in through the glass, and the adhesive actually stuck to the wood (which I didn’t expect) and it’s stayed for days so far with zero problems! We’re able to easily raise or lower it, and we live in the south, so when I tell you our air actually CUT OFF in the middle of the day because the room wasn’t boiling…that oughta tell you everything right there. Ten million stars. We will absolutely be replacing all the blinds in our house with these. ... show more
