I ordered the silver reflective version trying to reduce the amount of sun and glare coming in the back door at our house. We didn't want to add blinds as they tend to bounce and get in the way when opening/closing the door, and we didn't want to do a frosting since we need to see out into the yard.
This stuff is very easy to apply - spray the glass with water, place the sheet down, it can slide around to make the fit just right, use a gift card or something to get rid of any bubbles, and then use a box cutter or exacto knife to cut away any excess. Super easy application with the one caveat that if it gets stuck to itself, it can make a crease that will make that piece not useable, I did have that happen. It does a great job of reducing the heat coming in through the window, it's noticeable. It does a good but not great job of reducing glare from direct sun. Definitely helps with the sun bouncing off my counters and floor, but I'm still squinting. I'm not 100% positive I installed it correctly - I put the "sticky" side against the window from the inside. It seems to be a bit more reflective on the non-sticky side though, so maybe I'm meant to do it from the outside of the window. Will try that when my second roll comes, I ran out. Would recommend but probably not going to be a perfect solution, though it does help.

I wanted to change up the look of my pendant lights and find an alternative to my glass shower doors. I couldn’t afford replacing anything so I found this bathroom friendly window film!!! Application was easy! The look is perfect and for the price, I am 💯 satisfied with my purchase! For reference, I
needed 1 roll for each bathroom door, and used 2/3 of a roll for my 4 pendant lights. Other tools you will need is a water spray bottle, a small utility blade, and a wallpaper scraper to remove bubbles. *update: I applied this window film a few days ago and it is holding strong with no signs of it coming down!! I saw other reviews saying it doesn’t adhere or falls down after a day but I am not seeing that at all! Great product

Not that so easy as you think but quality is good

If you ask for a very easy and perfect install (no bobble), it will be difficult, at least for a first time user like me. However, once you are used to it and learn some tricks, the product is very good. It indeed blocks view from outside at daytime, and block heat as well. I install it at my office
room where used to be hot afternoon. Once I install it, I can feel the heat reduced significantly. The only thing I can "complain" is not that so easy to install if you watch the video. My first try failed and wasted whole piece as it sticked together. It will be great if you have two people to hold it at two sides. I am OK to have some minor bobbles. After that, I have buy another two set to install this product in another rooms.

Nice looking product for windows

I purchased this product to create a privacy factor for my sliding glass door, without hanging up curtians. I was not disappointed! It was easy to put on. I suggest buying a kit to help adhere it to the window -- it comes with a small spray bottle and a squeege like item to smooth bubbles. Make sure
you put a spray of water on where you are going to adhere the film -- it makes application much easier! READ THE DIRECTIONS!!! I liked the product so much, I purchased more to do my front side windows. It's a great option for getting sunlight, yet getting privacy as well!

Installs easily, cuts sunlight, great privacy

I've been in my home for 19 years now, and I've had numerous neighbors come and go now over the years. I'm not a big fan of extensive window "dressings", I don't particularly like curtains, and I don't like blinds or shades, and definitely don't like having to use combinations of any of them. That sa
id, I use just enough on a window to provide privacy, but during the day I really like the natural sunlight to cascade into a room. So generally I open the curtains so the light can come in, and I can see out. Increasingly though, I've been looking to make my windows semi-private during the day, and this product has easily addressed that need. This is a fairly decent film. It comes rolled-up, and has a clear protective backing covering the surface that gets applied to the window surface. My only complaint is that this clear protective backing doesn't have measurement marks on it, so when you need to cut the film to a certain size, you'll need to draw a line across it. Other similar products I've used are marked with guidelines. It does take some effort to separate the clear backing from the film, but using the "two strips of tape" seemed to work best, but takes some trial and error. The application-side of the film seems to be a little bit tacky, but not sticky. Once the backing is removed, I liberally sprayed the application-side of the film with water containing just a bit of car-wash soap in it, and also sprayed the window and evenly distributed the water across the entire surface of the window. After lining up the film, I just used a large rubber squeegee to squeeze the water from top to bottom, side to side. I ended up with virtually no bubbles and the application looked great. I can also confirm that the film can be easily removed. Unfortunately, on my second application, a couple of my cat's hairs were caught onto the film. I removed the film and then removed the hairs, then re-sprayed the surfaces to reapply. Initially, it seemed like this caused a distortion in the film, almost producing a "cloudiness". I was concerned and disappointed at first, but because of the location of the window, I figured the appearance wasn't paramount. Surprisingly, though, over the course of two days, the cloudiness disappeared, and the film is once again clear. So I suspect having the sun's heat on the window caused the issue to clear up. If this happens, I wouldn't panic immediately. I am pleased to say the film does not fall off. It stays adhered to the window. The corners do not slowly work themselves loose, and overall it provides a clean and consistent appearance. I'm very pleased with how easily this installs and how well it adheres. It definitely provides privacy protection during the day. During the day it is next to impossible to see into the window. I've tested this with a person standing directly behind the window, and can't see the person at all. If you get right up to the window, and if there's enough light in the room, you can certain see inside, but at that point, it would be obvious that somebody is looking right through the window. This also significantly cuts the intensity of the sunlight coming through the window. I would say it's close to a 75% reduction. It provides a nice filter for the light, and also reduces the heat transferred into the home. I was able to confirm this at an second-floor bedroom window, at which I only installed the film on the lower part of the window. The early morning sunlight coming through the lower window and hitting the floor is significantly filtered, reduced in intensity, and reduced in warmth by the film, as compared the sunlight coming through the upper window pane. The biggest test for me, though, was whether my cat would approve of the filtered light. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it. She will still curl up into the sunlight even though it's filtered and the heat is not as intense. I approved of this so much that I ordered three additional rolls to apply to more windows. I think it's a great product that does exactly what it claims it should. I recommend it.

Would have given 5 stars but you could still see through the film (as shown in 1st picture); but, once I doubled up on the film it was perfect! 2nd and 3rd pictures to prove it!! Would definitely purchase again.

I took these picks in March 2022, I'm submitting this review on July 16, 2023. I bought these to cover the windows in the doors of my rental property, and THEY'RE STILL THERE! There was easy to install, but you need to be sure to get the right size (width and length). I didn't want to spend alot of m
oney so I wasn't willing to pay for the larger size and have alot of waste. Instead I covered most of the window and then used a small piece to fill in the small gap. I'm not sure if you can tell from these photos of the bigger window (they aren't the best pictures), but you can't even tell that it's not one piece. You have to make sure the window on which you're applying the screen is clean and that you use enough water. The water is key to getting a good adhesion. I would buy this again for sure.

Placed on my windows that face my neighbor. Still let's the sunlight through and I can't see the neighbor's mess. Would have been easier if there was a grid on the back to make cutting more precise.

It works really well on my large glass. When I was doing my smaller French doors, I realized that I forgot to peel off the plastic layer and once I figured that out, it’s stuck well on the small windows too. Over all it does a good job

Gives a reflective surface as advertised

I wish that I could say that I had used the whole roll of film to cover a window or glass patio door. But, I only used a piece that was 12 inch x 12 inch diamond shaped on my front door to give me a one way mirror effect to enable me to look out to see who is at my door without being seen inside. And
it works great in daylight or at night with my bright porch light on. I didn't purchase this product to block sunlight as it is advertised to be used for.

I live on the second floor and just wanted a little something for my window this was cute, easy, and quick. Maybe took a total of ten minutes to do- all I do recommend is that you have a very sharp knife or cut to exact size.

This stuff is pretty amazing! I used it on bathroom windows at a rental we have because we were having a hard time finding curtains for such a small space. We followed directions and it went on very easily. It was worth buying the application kit too!

I used this to create privacy at my front door which has windows all around the door. It was very, very easy to install. Simply measure the area to be covered, cut the film accordingly, spray the window, and apply the film. If you need to adjust because it is not straight, simply lift it, wet again,
and then put the film in place. I chose to leave a very small open border so that I can peek through to see visitors. The design is beautiful and allows light to filter through while at the same time providing much-desired privacy in a very attractive way.

The media could not be loaded. Have a super old apartment that has one of those doors with the mirror inlayed, but it was installed poorly & with a damaged mirror. It drove me absolutely crazy how it always looks streaky, hazy and dirty because it’s behind the glass that was layered over top. This wa
s the perfect solution! Took me maybe a half hour, but it does require some patience with laying it smooth. I used only water, a squeegee, and a box cutter to cut away the excess. You spray the water on glass, lay the paper over top and smooth it on/ squeegee bubbles out from the center going towards the outer edges. It really is that easy. I love it! Satisfies my OCD with not having to look at a dirty mirror and I love that I can just peel it off if/when I decide to move & not have to worry about glue or adhesives.
