I never got one of these when I was a kid, so I decided to get one and see what I had missed. It is fair to say probably missed a bit, as this thing was fun, even without a game! It is even better with one, as the 3d effect makes everything popout at me! I received a refurbished console, because finding a new one was impossible for me and my budget. The device came in good working order, and came clean too! The bottom plate was scratched a bit, but this could be from sliding it on a table. The top plate and screens were practically pristine, however, which is the most impressive thing. The one thing I will gripe is that there is a strange, letter I shaped diffet in my console, which I am not sure why is there, but I am not too worried about it. Overall, still like buying refurbished things. I have a lot to catch up on with this, even if the eshop and internet servers are down. ... show more

Based on the mixed reviews I didn’t expect to get this good of a 3ds I bought mine in “excellent condition” and it looks pretty much brand new. There’s like one tiny tiny scratch that’s not really noticeable unless you look real close so It doesn't really bother me. It came with a stylus and a charger no SD card though which is fine. The charger doesn’t fit in all the way I don’t remember if that’s normal since I hadn’t had a 3ds for awhile but it still works and charges fine so I don’t really care. The screens were stained/scratched. The hinges were loose. The 'X' button would work if you pressed heavily on it. Games wouldn't read from time to time. The speakers were blown out. It crashed on me twice in my first hour of using it. The condition of the console was very accurate I had bought 2 of the same handheld from “Toys and Video Games Store” and “Cavegamers” Both were listed as refurbished Excellent condition and same price of 494$ The one from T&V was way better looking The only issue with the 3DS from Toys and video games is that the top screen didn’t have 3d it looked very weak to me and didn’t lift off screen other than than that the console came with about 4-5 noticeable scratches and a little scratch on the top screen less than a millimeter bottom screen was scratch free I do NOT recommend Cavegamers at ALL and HIGHLY recommend you buy from T&V also this ONLY applies to the “New” Nintendo 3DS Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala Black edition, nothing else ... show more

I ordered this to replace a broken one, it looks almost new, it had no scratches, the buttons worked well without sticking. I was impressed when I received it, it exceeded my expectations, I believe the seller was Cave Gamers or something like that, it even came with a charger! If I’m not mistaken, when you bought these new in store they didn’t come with chargers and you had to buy them separately, they threw in a charger for me, even though I still had my old one. So I will save this one in case my old charger stops working. Thank you! ... show more

October 2024 (Keep reading to see update...) This is my first ever 3DS XL/LL and I am so pleasantly surprised with what I recieved although I did notice a few things that might be notable to others who also plan on buying one. Originally, it was supposed to come in within a week but I ended up recieving it within only 3 days! (This might vary where you live). The 3DS also comes with a standard charger and it was package really neatly covered in bubble wrap within a small box. When I inspected the 3DS I noticed a lot of things especially the back cover which says it's an LL (japanese ver) but when I opened the 3DS up, it wasn't region locked and ran normally like a normal region free 3DS. I also noticed a lot of small dents around the 3DS, the most notable one being the one on the top of the DS where there is a huge visible crack and a hole. There's also smaller dents around the 3DS but they are only really noticable when hit at certain lights since they're quite small. The SD card cover was also slightly more yellowed compared to everything else on the 3DS. These visual effects probably won't even bother me since I plan on adding a case and decorating it but it's important to know/expect that there might be defects or blemishes since it is a renewed game console. Besides that, everything works and it's in great condition! Update: December 2024 The touch screen has now given up on me within only 2 months. For something that costed $300, this is disappointing. I've taken care of my 3DS since I first got it. I've never dropped it, played it and stored it in a safe place, even making sure to have a case and screen protectors. Even with the best care, protection, and set up, it still became broken. I have bought another 3DS elsewhere and in comparison, it was more affordable, is lasting me way longer, and looked way nicer with barely no scratches at all. It even came in with its ORIGINAL charger and case. For the second 3DS, I only had to pay $150 which is half the price. Of course there is a solution, to bring it in and have it fixed somewhere or even fix it myself, but a $300 refurbished device that is expected to be in very good conditon, this is disappointing. ... show more
