I could go in and on about this cooker and how it has changed my life as a family of 4 that travels full time in a Motorhome. I have cooked things i never thought possible in this "crockpot". Bread, fried eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, steaks, peach cobbler, fish, and so much more! I love that it doesn't heat up our camper. The pot itself is very thick and durable. The size is great for meals big enough for at least 6 people possibly more. I love that it has a timer and that I can put it in the oven or even on my gas stove top if I need to finish cooking something a little faster. Lid does not lock but I don't find it an issue. My family says the food tastes just as good as if it was cooked in an oven or on the grill. Love Love Love this!! ... show more

I LOVE this thing! I brown my ground meat or put a sear on meat, or whatever I would have otherwise done in a stovetop pan. Then move right along to adding what I need to cook in this pot. Makes faster and cleaner work of the cooking process. It runs hotter than other crockpots. For example, if I were to otherwise cook something on high for four hours, it'll almost surely be done in three hours. Possibly even 2.5. So when using the high option, keep an eye on it. Of course, I love that my meals are done that much faster. I've recently discovered putting in a box of uncooked pasta and three cups of water or broth (along with sauce and vegetables) as a solution to not having to cook the noodles separately. With that, I'm browning my ground meat, cooking my noodles and simmering my sauce all in one pot! Following the meat browning, the cooking of my mostaccioli and spaghetti takes about 2.5 hours on high. Brilliant time and dish saver! ... show more

Got tired of replacing the crockpot because the heater element died, or the case separated from the base. This unit is built so much better. The liner is not a crock, so it is lighter and not prone to breaking. Cleans up nice. The base that houses the heater units, has coil on bottom and one around the side, is built tough. It should hold up to moving the unit from storage to countertop without falling apart. I love my Ninja products. This is my favorite. This is my 3rd purchase of this product. My mother also has one.The others are alive and well. One was a gift , the 2nd one a different friend saw and liked its capabilities so much I let her take it home. They both still rave about it. It is durable, great to saute . It is more than just a slow cooker. I found I dirty less pans and pots. It is super easy to clean. Very light compared to most slow cookers. Very easy to use. The only downside is the lid doesn't have a way to lock. That is why i didn't give it 5 stars. We just wrap a tower around it and set it in a box when we take it somewhere. ... show more
