The media could not be loaded. My old crockpot stopped working, so I was needing a new one quickly. The reviews led me to this ninja crockpot. I love it that it’s an 8.5qt, so it can hold more food. The buttons are easy to work, easy to program, easy to use, and easy to clean. The style and compact size is also really great. I placed my roast on low all night. This morning it was the most tender meat of all time. Incredibly well cooked and didn’t dry it out. The lid that holds the spoon is also genius! It’s not too heavy and has multiple cooking functions which will be handy. Overall I love this as of 10/18/24. Did get the protection plan, as my experience with ninja products have only lasted 1 year. Having the amazon Allstate plan for 4 years covers me for a replacement once past the manufactures warranty. I highly suggest adding it. Very easy to file a claim as well. I do recommend this. Just an awesome slow cooker ... show more

I’ve used crockpots for years, but somehow didn’t know about this one until my crock broke and I went looking for a new one. I read the reviews and watched the videos and thought there was no way it was that great, but if it was, I wanted it! Well I’m here to tell you, buy the dang thing! The first thing I cooked in this was loaded potato soup, which this recipe suggests caramelizing ham chunks. Typically, I would need to get out a skillet, cook the ham then move that to the crock with the rest of the ingredients. With this I was able to skip that step and actually caramelize my ham in this pot, like I would in a skillet, and with a turn of the dial add my remaining ingredients set the timer and walk away like normal! All my needed steps, to walk away and let it cook, were done in less then 15 mins (which is really the point of the crock pot, throw it in and go) I am a clean as you cook type of person, so previously I would’ve had to wash the skillet before I walked away. I let it cook on high for 3 hours and after the time was up it beeped one loud beep and switched its self over to the “keep warm” and began counting up to let me know how long it had been “done” and left to warm! I LOVE this thing! I brown my ground meat or put a sear on meat, or whatever I would have otherwise done in a stovetop pan. Then move right along to adding what I need to cook in this pot. Makes faster and cleaner work of the cooking process. It runs hotter than other crockpots. For example, if I were to otherwise cook something on high for four hours, it'll almost surely be done in three hours. Possibly even 2.5. So when using the high option, keep an eye on it. Of course, I love that my meals are done that much faster. I've recently discovered putting in a box of uncooked pasta and three cups of water or broth (along with sauce and vegetables) as a solution to not having to cook the noodles separately. With that, I'm browning my ground meat, cooking my noodles and simmering my sauce all in one pot! Following the meat browning, the cooking of my mostaccioli and spaghetti takes about 2.5 hours on high. Brilliant time and dish saver! ... show more

I have 3 of the pressure cookers and use them all the time I honestly didn't realize they can slow cook too! But my sister had this beautiful Ninja slow cooker and I thought I really needed it. Well actually I have not used it for that purpose yet, but I used it once for the saute feature. It is a nice size pot that is wide and tall. It worked perfectly to saute my stew beef without making the horrible mess on the stove (the instapot is taller has a small area to saute). It was great--and I loved the spoon utensil that came with it so much I ordered another one. Unfortunately, every time I think about putting it on the "slow cooker" cycle I just think I can do it faster in the instapot! But, before long I will do it. I will say it is a PRETTY LARGE and DOES TAKE UP SPACE. I almost returned it but it was a pretty good price considering just the run of the mill slow cookers are almost this price. I think I will use it to warm food at holidays and parties. Also the Sous Vide feature might be something I will use. It is pretty (I purchased black). BUT BIG: check your measurements. ... show more

Truly a versatile cooker. So far I have used this for meats, casseroles, soups and desserts. I especially like that it heats up fast then holds a steady temperature, not like standard crock pots that take forever to heat up. Non-stick surface is very easy to clean.
