I'm using this item in a storage room that's attached to my house. It tends to get very humid in there, depending on the time of the year, because it's not connected to my home HVAC system. I had a smaller dehumidifier in that space (about 7ft x 20ft) and I'm not sure it helped very much ... although it pulled plenty of water out of the air. This product seems to be better ... with a bigger reservoir before needing to be changed. This unit is also attractive and feel like a solid product. Not loud at all when running either. If it was inside, I'm sure it wouldn't bother me at all. I wish that it automatically turned back on when I emptied the water, but that's a small gripe to have to turn it back on after dumping the water tank. ... show more

The machine is quiet as can be, it picks up alot of water. It's very easy to use, when it's full it turns red and gives you a warning sound. The capacity is fantastic, I have another ninesky dehumidifier that works well too just not as nice as this one and half the capacity. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a dehumidifier!!! ... show more

The product I received is clearly not doing anything and Amazon will not let me return anymore, and I can not find a phone # to contact the manufacturer.. I purchased this one in August to replace the one we put in another bathroom, but did not need this one until December when the weather gets to freezing to draw moisture out to keep water off the wood of our windows. A few weeks ago got it out of the packaging and started using. There has been no water collected (not even a drop) in the dehumidifer even though there is clearly moisuer in the room. ... show more

Got this for my small travel trailer. First overnight run in the cabin collected just a half cup. Not bad actually considering that it ran under non-ideal conditions - ambient temperature just above 50 degrees. Later boosted the room temperature and collected considerably more. Certainly an improvement over desiccant beads dehumidifiers that would have taken a week or more. Am dropping one star for false advertising in Amazon’s product description. There is no sleep mode. Note: the manufacturer description does NOT claim a sleep mode. Fortunately I don’t plan to sleep with this running in the same room but some people might consider this a deal breaker. ... show more

    • This Pulls So Much Water From My RV!

I'm loving this product! I'm traveling fulltime in my 44 ft, 5th wheel RV and things were getting a little damp and clammy feeling inside. Bought this and I'm astounded at how much water it pulls from the air after only a few hours. On the days I forget to run it, my bed pillows feel clammy and damp. When I run it for even a few hours before bedtime, my pillows are completely dry. (RV living can feel a little damp...ick!) The unit is compact enough to also not take up valuable space in the RV.     • Mixed Bag - Attractive, but noisy & a short cord

I bought this to replace another unit that eventually died and is no longer available on Amazon. The unit sits in a closet that is subjected to a LOT of moisture. My review is relative to that prior unit. The unit's attractive - both the casing and the lights. And it pulls water. My complaints - the cord is very short, only about 4'. If you are considering this one, make sure you can place it near an outlet. It's also noisier than my previous one. With the closet door closed, I don't hear it. But I can definitely hear it when the door is open. Finally, it does seem to pull water as fast as my old one. That tank would fill about every 3-4 days, this one is filling every 4-6 days. Not a big difference - it does work! - but still slower. ... show more

I live by a marina where it is very humid. Initially I bought 2 of these and they were pulling water from the bedroom and living room like a champ so I bought a 3rd to help the one already in the living room. The 3rd one turns on fine and seems to be working like the other 2 however it doesn’t take ANY water out of the air even though it sits roughly 15 feet from the existing one that works. The one in the bedroom still seems to work as normal but it stopped pulling water from the air all of a sudden last week. The last working one in the living room now is making a loud noise like it’s dying even though the water is still collecting (for now). Bottom line is I have 2 out of 3 that either never worked or stopped working within 3 months and 1 on its last legs already. I will adjust my review if I can figure out what’s the problem but as of now I would definitely not recommend this product. ... show more
