I have used several Nightforce scopes and was very impressed by how reliable and solid they feel and are. I decided to buy this scope for my 308 single bolt rifle. I received the scope in excellent condition. Installing it was straightforward. I used Talley rings for the Mauser M18. Zeroed the scope at 100 meters, at 400 meters under high magnification the eye relief becomes challenging... tried adjusting the diopter, parallax to no avail. A bit disappointing.. I will have to remove the scope from the 308 and install it on a smaller caliber with less recoil. ... show more

I am very impressed with this scope. I am coming from a Leupold VX Freedom 4-12x40mm. I was on the NF and then went back to the Leupold and the difference was night and day. Spend the extra money and get the NightForce. Behind the NF, I had more clarity and could actually see the mirage down range that I had been reading about. I switched to the Leupold and saw nothing... I will be buying NightForce from here on out. ... show more

In my opinion, the glass is better than two of them, but the turret made up the final decision when compared to the better glass one.
