The picture quality, video quality or live view quality of the night vision is really good and I had a fun time using them. It has multiple view options as for light and darkness. it works really good at a long distance, the zoom in and out at a long distance works well also. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would have preferred to be able to use them at a shorter distance. I am new to night vision things And maybe it was my fault that I couldn't see closer because maybe I ordered the wrong ones but other than that, they're really great. ... show more

We love using these to observe the wildlife near our home at night. We have a ton of coyotes and bobcats. They are very portable and easy to take camping. The battery lasts longer than other night vision goggle we have used. Image quality is solid.

I am a total newcomer to night vision goggles and I love it! I live at the edge of a forest and am surrounded by plenty of wildlife so I have plenty to look forward to. Today I was able to watch a big crowd of wild turkeys. The night vision is fantastic! I just stepped back in from a stroll into the forest and it is pretty awesome how I could see trees and rocks etc. in details in the pitch dark. I am an absolute non-technical person but by reading all the instructions and playing around with it and watching a couple of helpful videos I could easily figure out all the features and buttons. I noticed that couple of reviewers had a problem to attach the neck strap to the device: just slide the fabric loop at the end of the strap through one of the small square holes (two on each side of the device) and it will come back out of the square hole next to it and then slide the loop over the short extension cord to fasten it. Do the same on the other side. You may have to push slightly a couple of times for it to come out on the square hole next to it. ... show more

As long as your viewing an open field this unit works! If there is a tree limb or a bush near you things are "hit or miss". The IR light reflects of any object and if the object is close it washes out the images. So for the price they work! Just keep in mind the limitations.
