    • Good system for local use but the iPad and iPhone apps are horrible
The camera quality is relatively good both during the day and at night. Controls and scaling of timeline are relatively easy to use when directly connected to the device. However, remotely managing the device is nearly impossible. First, it's not possible to configure any of the features remotely - there is just no option. When playback review is close to impossible for a couple of reasons. First, it's extremely slow and inert even when I am connected to the local network where the system is connected. Second, there are a number of bugs in the app that make it crash often, as well as make the controls disappear so that the app needs to be restarted to see them again. It's a good start but they need to put effort in the app, otherwise the system is useless. ... show more

Do not waste your time on the wireless system! If you are buying for security reasons, by the time you try and see what happened on the alert. It’s too late.

    • App will not work when needed
It never fails when I wanna get on the app to check my cameras it will not work. The App will open but it will not connect even if I’m sitting in my house. I strongly suggest not getting a night owl Product

    • Worst Tech Support Ever
The system has the capability to be very useful. When installed, we had the cameras on our rv, our phones, and on our computers. Now, tech support says the system is no longer supported. We can see they camera views on the direct connection on our tv, but not on our phones or compters. Yes, we have the apps. They are so complex and confusing we can't get them to connect. We could call a BestBuy Geek Squad each time, but when it goes off line, we can't hook it back up. We would have to pay the $150 fee to get it re-connected, which may last until the next time the wifi goes down, then to complex to get back up. The bottom line for me, is to NEVER buy a Night Owl with their "too old" tech support response. NEVER! ... show more

Nothing but issues. Day time clarity is ok. Night vision is barley visible. Very aggravating considering it’s hard wired. First system could not be corrected through customer service. Since it’s hard wired we bought the better version. NIGHT VISION SUCKS! Get another home security system.

WORST security camera app EVER! Always delayed. Does not pull up what it’s supposed to. Hard to understand. The cameras itself are not bad. But what good is a good camera when you cant watch surveillance when you are gone? It’s worthless.
