Only had for a little while, but so far so good. Definitely silent. Straightforward to use/adjust, similar to any other clock. I like that it needs only 1 AA battery. Super cute and doesn't take up much space. All plastic and very lightweight. Haven't tried the alarm yet, but the sound was loud when I was making adjustments to it. I thought the square corners would make it a little confusing to read, but seems okay. This is my favorite alarm clock. I’ve owned three of them - always travel with one - and also purchased one for my 92 year old mother. If you are looking for something very simple and basic in an alarm clock, this is the one for you! One small dial sets the time, another small dial sets the alarm, and there is an on/off alarm switch - that’s it! This is a nice little clock, truly silent, keeps time well so far. I like that it has a second hand. Be aware that the dial that is designed to look like it glows in the dark does not glow. Wish it did.
