To start: This fits behind the Marineland Portrait and Contour Aquarium, so I am sure it will also fit in other tanks. My original water pump stopped working and completely broke down. I got the 10-20 gallon for a 20 gallon tank and it is more than powerful and provides nice surface agitation. It would be way too powerful for a 10 gallon. The media chamber is quite small compared to a hang on.

Change to 5 stars. Seller offered a full refund. Thank you. Filter broke after exactly 3 months. It has a warranty right? Not so much. I messaged them, they asked me to send pictures and videos of the not working filter to them via different email. Seriously? Do they think I am lying? It’s a $10 filter. Come on. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. At first I thought this was noisy and a little too powerful for my Beta but after running it for 3 days the noise level seem to quiet down significantly. As for the powerful bubbles, I shortened the waterfall tube and punched a hole in the cap. This also seemed to solve the problem of the waterfall tube growing algae in it. It’s good but a pain to clean! I can’t unplug it before removing the whole thing from the tank to clean! Otherwise when it’s unplugged all the gunk goes right out into the tank! Ugh! I’ve used this one a while now and looking to get a different one that is easier to maintain!

I bought 10-20 and have it in a 29 gallon now the pressure is a bit too strong and I have a sponge filter to help it since I bought one rated for 9 gallons smaller maxed out but when I had it in my 10 gallon it moved my plants and kicked my sand everywhere because it’s just too much .

Setting up a new tank and cleared the water over night. 20 gallon tank. Picture is new, 2 hours, and 12 hours. Working like it should. Easy set up and quiet.
