I've been on a DIY spree lately, tackling small projects around the house. This led me to discover the Nicpro Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin Kit, which has now become a staple in my crafting arsenal. The kit is as comprehensive as they come - it packs a 0.5 gallon of resin and 0.5 gallon of hardener, along with a bunch of handy accessories like measuring cups, silicone sticks, and gloves. They even throw in user instructions, which were clear and easy to follow. The first project I tackled was a mini river table. Mixing the epoxy was a breeze, thanks to the 1:1 ratio which takes the guesswork out of the equation. The 30-minute work time was ample for me to pour and spread the resin. I was pleasantly surprised to see no bubbles forming as I worked the epoxy - this kit is self-degassing as advertised! As for the curing, it went off without a hitch. I left it to cure overnight and by next morning, my table had that high gloss, crystal clear finish that I was hoping for. The epoxy hardened well with no sticky or tacky spots. I appreciate that this epoxy is non-toxic and has a low odor, which made working with it indoors comfortable. Plus, the UV stabilizer and yellowing resistance are great additions for long-term clarity. I have used this epoxy for a couple more projects since, including coating a bar top and making some jewelry.     • I don’t hate it but I don’t love it.

The reviews were great & the piece was great as well. I usually use Dr. Crafty brand resin. The first thing I noticed was is seems… thicker than most resins I’ve used while I pour. Which would be ideal for bigger projects like table tops or maybe even for tumblers. Whereas I make small keychains and such so it can get frustrating dropping the thick resin into small molds. Secondly it leaves a LOT of bubbles. Like a lot. Tiny tiny bubbles so it takes a while to pop them all. More so frustrating in deep molds because I can’t pop them on the lower sides. One thing I can say though is that it does have a beautiful finish. (If you can pop all the bubbles!) it dries a lot more clear & shiny in comparison to others. However I usually add a lot of color to my projects so that’s not necessarily something important to me. Overall, it’s a nice product but it just doesn’t fit my needs. If you make small resin projects or aren’t keen on popping a lot of bubbles I would recommend looking elsewhere. ... show more

I've used other resins and I find this one to be the best so far. Low bubbles, almost no odor it sets up nicely and the price is right. It says no VOC's but I still use a respirator when mixing and put my Air purifier on high while curing. All and all it's a good product. I like it a lot.

I bought this 2 years ago & the remaining resin still has not turned yellow. This is the only resin that I have used that has not turned yellow over time. It is also a little thinner than any other resin that I have used. It does take a full 24 hours for smaller projects to fully cure. I didn’t measure the work time but I can say that I had plenty of time to combine different pigments to create another color and pour 4 molds before it started to set up. I liked that this resin was clear and had almost no air bubbles in it but the smell was very very strong and it seems brittle and it cracks. I have used other resins before with no difficulty and not only did this product crack and seem brittle but it took way longer than it should have to harden . I measured it very carefully and mixed it very well like the directions say. I even had to tape up the sides of my smaller trays and bowls to keep the shape.
