Very sturdy, has so many pockets for numerous things but once it gets filled those pockets lose their usefulness. I love the style and the color but the functionality could use some work.

After ordering 7 other bags I settled on this one. I'm slim and this was the only bag that could be shortened enough to fit snugly across my body. The other bag straps couldn't be shortened enough and I was left with the bag sagging by my side. Took this bag with me to New York and was very happy with it. It was a tight fit but I was able to fit: - 8"x8" sketchbook - my pen case - a small-pack puffer jacket - a narrow water bottle (approx width of a small bottled water) - keys/wallet/large battery brick (7"x"3"x"1) The pockets were perfect-- not overly specific like some bags because it them becomes limiting. Lots of room to organize how you see fit. If you like a small pack, perfect fit bag for a few items this is it. Purchased as a gift for my husband. He is delighted with the overall size, the number of compartments, the padded sling strap, and the general versatility of the bag. When traveling, he carries a Rick Steve's duffel backpack, and this Nicgid Sling Bag can be carried easily in front of the body as a "personal carryon." It holds a lot of items - iPad, phone & charger, earbuds, large book, as well as wallet, medicines, toothbrush, keys, water bottle, light jacket and probably even a change of underwear in the event of delays. Easy access to travel documents. Loop on the top allows the bag to be hand carried or hung up on a hook. The strap can be switched from left to right. Fabric seems very durable and sturdy. Although directions say to spot clean the bag (as opposed to washing it), the Army green color shouldn't show much dirt. Carrying a pack on the front of the body over a shoulder is much more secure than a tote and offers better balance. Can also be used as a city pack or day hike pack. I compared several different brands - Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, REI, before I chose this one. Husband really likes it. I want one, too! ... show more

    • Good Quality Bag with a Few Flaws

First of all, the quality of this bag is very good for the price point. The size is as described and fits my 11" iPad Pro perfectly with a folio case. The strap is comfortable and the sling bag style is convenient and practical for a bag this size. There are two negative items that I feel must be addressed and are the reason for my three start rating. First is the lack of a second zipper slider on the main compartment (or any of the zippered openings). The zippers appear to be of really good quality and have metal sliders and pulls, but the lack of a second zipper means that when the bag is closed, the zipper slider is always on one particular size. One big advantage of the sling bag is quick deployment when swung around to the front of your body, and while the shoulder strap is left/right swappable, the zipper obviously isn't with only one slider. This might seem like a small thing, but I've found it a bit difficult to get over. The second item is that the swivel on the shoulder strap is a snap fit plastic part. The shoulder strap should arguably be one of the strongest parts of a bag, and this bag has a quality strap, but a weak swivel connection. It has popped off (strap completely disconnected) several times almost causing me to drop the bag - fortunately I caught it both times before it hit the ground. The swivel fitting snapped right back in and felt as sturdy as ever, but I can't trust it anymore. For a casual trip to the store this might be okay, but I have to find a replacement that I can trust with a bit more versatility and thought put into the zippers and strap swivel point. ... show more

Used it consistently for a week while traveling across a few states. Fits a Samsung Tab 6 Lite with a bulky child-oriented protective case, along with additional USB cables, a couple of 5000mAh batteries, hand sanitizer, meds, a 16 oz bottle of water and still had room to spare. Color was ugly, but intentionally selected to help discourage thieves. ... show more
