The material is good quality, soft, and a fairly heavy fabric. I ordered the white curtains which are a bright white. I like that these are pretty sturdy and they are a true blackout and they do seem to be sound and temperature damping. I will caution, though they are not wrinkle free. I tried putting them in with a damp towel in the dryer and that could not get all the wrinkles out. I washed them on gentle, let them toss in the dryer for just a few minutes and rehung them and they still had wrinkles. You will have to iron them to remove the wrinkles. ... show more

I bought this for our rental home. Our landlord refuses to replace a drafty back door. So in the winter when it is snowing you can feel the cold air coming in. Then in the summer it gets the full sun in the afternoon and it is very hot by that door. Since we put these drapes up, it has been much cooler. I bought these to help with the early rising sun waking us up in the morning before the alarm. I bought the white color and wasn’t really sure they would block the light as much as we wanted. I only ordered one panel at first (didn’t read the description well), so put it up with our old thin curtain to decide if it would work. I thought it would, since it darkened the room pretty good, so bought another panel. It came in and I put it up the next morning. That night I got up to go to the bathroom and it was so dark, I literally couldn’t see my hand in front of my face! I got so disoriented, I found myself in our walk-in closet. I had to grope my way out with my hands on the walls and finally found the bathroom. (In my defense, I had taken a migraine pill before bed, so was sleeping really deep when I woke up). When hubby got up, I relayed what had happened in the night and he said he couldn’t believe the curtains blocked out all of the light.
