This spray does help keep my hair in place but it doesn't seem to make my hair thicker. I don't like the feel of my hair when I use it. It feels kind of cruddy and I have to wash my hair every time I use it.

Thin hair girlies know that we have tried EVERYTHING! I have bought the expensive trendy products ( looking at you wow) all the salon products , the expensive hair styling tools, everything my stylist has recommended, I have had layers cut, hair dyed, my hair “razored” everything to add volume you name it I’ve tried it but this, this is the game changer!!!!! This hair serum works so well I literally couldn’t believe my eyes! To be honest I didn’t have high hopes for it when I first sprayed it on because it was a thin liquidy spray and not a thick foam like most other products I have tried so instantly I was suspicious that this wasn’t going to work. I sprayed it on my scalp as instructions say and massaged it in then blow dried as normal. I have to say first off this DOES NOT have the best smell and in my mind I was thinking that’s what I would probably write in my review , but one look in the mirror after I was done drying my hair and Daaaaang! This is what I’m talking about! ‘ where have you been all my life?’ Sooooo much volume Thank You! Just please don’t discontinue this product, that always seems to happen to me when I find something I love no matter what it is lol! ... show more

It made my hair sticky. It may be great for other types of hair, but my hair is fine and thinning, didn't help as much as I hoped.

    • Another bad purchase I can't return
I bought this on a whim. I've been searching for the Ion thickening volume mist I've been using for years but it's never in stock on Amazon or in the store and Salley Hansen store near has it anymore either. So I decided to try this as it was a recommendation to try based on my searches. It took a while to arrive. When I first used it I knew right away it was bad. It has an overwhelming chemical scent to it which smells like someone who is getting their hair permed and it also felt like it was tingling and began to feel warm immediately after I sprayed it on. It didn't use much, maybe four sprays and the tingling soon subsided but not the chemical smell. I dried my hair and it didn't work for volume at all and left my hair with a sort of sticky feeling and as if it were weighed down. Edit: The first time using it the smell is similar to a bar of soap, so not bad. Gone the next day. Volume lasts for day!! .... I just received it and my hair does look to have more volume ! I was hesitant at first because of a few reviews regarding the smell ... but I think it smells fine. I know that chemical smell they describe because I've had a perm and I've had my hair colored ... this spray does not smell like that at all. Try for yourself!! ... show more

    • Smells weird, like pepper in my hair
I was hoping I would like this product but honestly cannot stand the smell. Makes me smell like pepper. I honestly can’t remember what it did for my hair but know the smell was so overpowering that I didn’t care to try again.

I feel like it thickens but doesn't weigh my hair down. It smells great and isn't sticky. I have to wash my hair daily, so I use this product daily too. I love it. And it's a good price!
