Super easy to place. Honestly this transformed my room. It is a temporary fix but it simple and easy to use. If you are not in a rush to get professional carpeting done, I 100% recommend this. Be advised, the carpet is thin because it does not have foam at the bottom. If you want a soft carpet effect I would recommend you place a foam pad down before you put this item down. Useful carpet squares. I used mine to put on shelves I put up for my cats to add traction. The backing is extremely sticky, to the point where when you pull the paper off, some of the glue comes off with it and sticks to the paper. This does not affect how sticky the squares are, however, but where the glue has come off the tile and onto the paper, you can see through the square, so they're extremely thin. The glue coming off doesn't leave bald spots, they're just very thin so you can see through them somewhat when the glue comes off. Once they're in place, they're great. No bald spots, they stay in place, and in my case, they've offered traction and comfort to my cat shelves, which was exactly what I wanted them for. I've ordered four boxes of them now. I will say that, at least to me, the smokey grey color is more of a blue/grey. ... show more

I used this indoor/outdoor, peel & stick carpet squares to cover the plywood decking in a small 10' aluminum fishing boat. While the coloring is not a perfect match (that may be important to some) I could care less. I put it down for comfort & noise reduction... it's PERFECT for my needs. Adhesion wasn't great after sitting in the blistering sun for several hours, so I tacked it down with a staple gun. Problem solved. I would imagine that a controlled environment (indoors) wouldn't have this issue. I liked it so much I added a second deck and another batch of squares, and that was a really good match !! I'm totally sastisfied and reccomend these squares as long as you're not too picky. Like I said perfect for my application !! ... show more

On a whim, I made my older cat a ramp so he could get up to the counter where we feed him (we have dogs, so he needs a private place to eat). The ramp didn't turn out as planned and I don't think our cat has used it once, but the stick-on carpeting I used to add traction went on very well and looks quite good. It was very easy to stick on and then trim with a utility knife. This is one of the less expensive carpet tiles and it seems perfect for projects like this. I ordered 13 boxes of tiles and they came in 4 different shipping boxes. Shipping box 1 worked great...peel stick...going great! Then I got to the 2nd and 3rd shipping boxes which contained 7 boxes of tiles and EVERY single tile in those 8 boxes the glue pulled off the carpet tile when I peeled the paper off. There was insufficient glue left on the tiles for them to be used. I'm now in the middle of laying tiles and don't want to quit so I ran to the hardware store and purchased s cans of Gorilla glue spray adhesive at a cost of about $30 so I can finish the job. The job of peeling off the paper became very messy as the gummy glue got all over my hands and everything I touched! I got the job done but at great additional effort and additional expense on my part. I would not buy these again. ... show more
