🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The racing chair in question is widely praised for its sturdy construction, ease of access, and customizability, accommodating various player sizes. It is highly recommended for those looking for a foldable and space-efficient setup without sacrificing quality in their sim racing experience. However, there are some noted concerns regarding the fit of certain accessories like the Logitech shifter, and the complexity of the folding process. Additionally, the lack of wire management solutions and limited comfort over long play sessions were mentioned by some reviewers.

Pros

  • 🏁 Sturdy and stable, with no wobble during intense gameplay
  • 🛠️ Fairly customizable to suit different player sizes
  • 👍 Easy to access and comfortable for short sessions
  • 🔄 Foldable design makes for a space-saving solution

Cons

  • ⚙️ Some accessories like the Logitech shifter may not fit perfectly
  • 🔧 Folding process can be more complicated than advertised
  • 🔋 Wire management is lacking, requiring additional fixes
  • 👾 Long play sessions may lead to discomfort without extra cushions

Should I Buy It?

If you're tight on space and need a compact racing sim setup, this chair offers a solid foundation with some quality-of-life improvements to consider. For those who prioritize a space-efficient, stable, and easily accessible racing chair and are willing to navigate some minor inconveniences, this product comes highly recommended. However, for individuals taller than 6 feet, or those planning to use particular accessories like the Logitech shifter, additional modifications might be necessary for the ideal fit and comfort.

  • Solid first cockpit!
This is the best folding racing chair, period. Super solid construction, no wobble when you're using it, it's easy to get in and out of, and is fairly customizable to fit players of many different sizes. If you've got the Logitech shifter, it doesn't REALLY fit that well because the folding hub is in the way of the shifter mounting point. Some other shifters probably fit better, but I was able to mount my logitech with a single bolt and the clamps keep it in place. Not an issue, just seems like an oversight. The hubs are really easy to use but they do make folding the chair a bit more difficult than I'd like. Next Level Racing offers a video instructional on how to fold the seat, but they don't fold it the same way as it's folded on the marketing, which is strange. It DOES fold up nearly flat with the wheel and pedals mounted, but it is awkward. Again, it's not a major issue because it does work, but its confusing that they would photograph it folded a certain way and then give instructions to fold it in a different way that makes it less compact. Wire management is lacking, but I'm not sure there's much to do differently. I used small velcro straps. TL;DR - this is a FOLDING chair so there are going to be compromises made. It will never be as good as a stationary setup, but this is the BEST product for anyone who doesn't have enough space to devote to a permanent solution. Compared to 'other' folding chairs, this is an amazing value. Some suggestions for the manufacturer: A lumbar pillow would make a great accessory, I find that I am much more comfortable with a pillow, this could just be a personal preference but the option of adding a matching pillow would've been great. Would LOVE to have a nylon drawstring bag to slide over the seat when it is folded up. The included strap helps keep it from coming unfolded but a drawstring bag would be a cleaner way to store this when not in use. ... show more

  • great setup for the $ and stable and nice position
overall, it’s a really great product. The only issue is the steering wheel does need to be locked in. It still moves a little bit if you don’t lock it in so you gotta make sure the plastic thing turns and clicks in the groove seat is very comfy and wide and good for male 6 foot and around 200 to 300 pounds the pedals and the steering wheel fit nicely and a good seating position and putting it together took around 30 to 60 minutes. It comes with all the hardware there’s a few spots that may take a little while to finesse, but it’s well-made and well worth the price. ... show more

  • Great for the price, just know that sacrifices were made to keep the price low
This is a really hard review to write because this product has given me so much joy, but I wish I spent more money to get something that's easier to adjust. If/when I do get something better, I'm going with this brand. I have no issues with the quality. This is a great product for the price you pay. It leaves you wanting more, and I think that's a good thing. I'm 6'2" and I sit pretty comfortably. When my kids go to play I have to go through a pretty long process to make changes. The problem is that there are a lot of screws to turn. I feel like it would be better to have the pin devices like you see on machines at the gym, but the point of this cockpit is that it's cheap, and screws save money. One other thing is that the seat is at a reline that is comfortable but I want to sit up more straight. There are a few things to try like raising the back and lowering the front, but ultimately I had to put a pillow behind my back. Again, this is the bargain cockpit and this a way to keep costs low. If there is only going to be one person using this and you're trying to save money, this is the perfect choice. I successfully share this with people much shorter than me and it works, just know that adjustments will take a few minutes. This folds up pretty nicely, but it takes a long time to go both directions. ... show more

  • Great Simulator Cockpit
This was actually a impulse add-on. For years I was using a Logitech G27 with a wheel stand. I was very happy with it but the problem is that I could not find a gaming chair with locking casters. So when I drove, I would keep rolling backwards when using the pedals. I used this setup for my PC racing sims. But since I recently got a PS5 with GT7 (and VR) I jumped at the Logitech G29 Flash sale. When I went to purchase it, this racing cockpit came up as a "customers also purchased." so I added it. This cockpit is amazing. First of all, I love the fact that it folds up. My game room doubles bedroom when visitors stay over. Second, the angle of the seat feels like you are in a race car. My wheel stand is great but you sit upright so it feels like you are sitting at a desk. It is very stable and is actually pretty light compared to the wheel stand. The one (minor) complaint is that although I like the fact that it opens up so you can get into it, you still have to step over it to get into it because the Logitech shifter is on the right and there is a cable that goes from the shifter to the wheel and the cable is not long enough to go around the back of the cockpit. ... show more

  • It's great for what it is.
This is a great product for the price. Yes it is uncomfortable If you are setting in it for several hours however I just put a cushion in the seat and it is great. Most of the negative reviews are because It's not easy to assemble, I had no problems with assembly. Some of the bad reviews were because the product is Not well built and would collapse. I feel like that was operator error however If you are concerned you can add a cheap ratchet strap like I did And it is not a practical concern anymore. This thing is 110% better than some floppy desk and an office chair!!!!!!! ... show more

  • Pain to set up and put away
It takes me around ten minutes to unfold the thing... definitely not the most convenient option out there. Once you set it up, it works fine. It's not going to immerse you completely into the racing sims, but it's definitely an upgrade over clamping your steering wheel to your desk. But oh my god does it take forever to set up and put away. The process is relatively simple, but the thing was NOT designed to be set up by one person. When unfolding it, it took several attempts to click everything into place without other parts collapsing, and same goes for folding the whole thing correctly again. If you really want this to be convenient, get another person to help hold parts in place. ... show more
