  • Is it needed...nope. Is it awesome...yep
Edition: Flight Simulator Cockpit: Boeing Milit...
Took me about 2hrs to assemble, thats just taking my time, and taking breaks. Instructions are straight forward, I didnt need to watch a video or consult youtube. Comes with many options for attaching HOTAS and other items as needed. This thing is solid. It's a little pricy, but if you are into flight sims, or space sims, I highly recommend "Next Level Racing Flight Simulator Cockpit: Boeing Military Edition". This was probably the best packaged item I have ever recieved, each piece was bubble wrapped and protected. This item is not fragile by any means and I have seen glass items not even packed as good as this. I have been wanting to build a home cockpit since my kids were little, they are grown and gone...now the building begins. ... show more

  • Wow. Just wow!!!!
Edition: Flight Simulator Cockpit: Boeing Milit...
absolutely love this setup. As close to realistic as you can get. The adjustability for mounting platforms and seat/pedal positioning are great features. Very solid construction and not difficult to assemble. I do agree with a few others that the seat padding feels good at first but starts to become uncomfortable with long sessions (not really difficult to do when using VR in MSFS 2020, DCS, and XPlane12). Purchased the Motion Plus Platform to take the experience to another level. Expensive, maybe, but I think it's worth it. ... show more

  • Nice product but…
Edition: Flight Simulator Cockpit: Boeing Milit...
First off: the quality of the NLR Boeing Military Edition flight sim cockpit is very nice. As many others have stated: there are multiple ways to configure your setup. It took me about 3 hours to build it (would have only taken about two but I was trying to figure out the configuration I wanted to go with). All-in-all I really like the quality here….but with that being said here’s my wishes for the future of this product: First of all, others stated the seat is not comfortable. True statement! I have been using the lumbar cushion that comes with it to help with the seat comfort. It makes a big difference! The back is verrry hard….bottom cushion is a bit better but still firm. The setup itself needs more options for height adjustments for left, right on stick quadrants. My stick has extensions for precision….I need to make modifications in order to use the extensions because the height is too high. The left and right quadrants I want higher….sooo…making modifications to get those up higher for me. Thank god I have a 3D printer. This is great for a basic setup folks….but if you want something customizable for what you want….either figure out how you want to mod it after spending $800 before taxes….or find something else that works for what you want. It’s not a bad cockpit by any means. Very sturdy….just wish the maker would have given more height options for stick, throttle and mouse quadrants. I enjoy tinkering and playing with 3D printer stuff. There are free prints available to buy or print yourself if you want more customization. Seatbelts are a bit meh….even my 14 year old said “looks like a car seat buckle”…..yup….maybe cheaper. Soooo….take this review as you’d like. If you want a sturdy basic setup and don’t want to tinker……this will do the job for sure. If you want something customized to your standards: build a cockpit yourself or spend a little less time making this into what you want it to be. ... show more

  • Pretty Solid
Edition: Flight Simulator Cockpit: Boeing Milit...
I got this setup yesterday, and its pretty awesome! I uploaded some pictures so others could get an idea of the layout/size. Im about 5'10. Im currently using this for elite dangerous and im extremely satisfied. I also hooked up a buttkicker to the chair with the mount it comes with, which increases the immersion 10 fold. I will say, the seatbelts definitely keep me from slamming my face into the wall while trying to look around, which is pretty nice. The foot pedal base is completely adjustable so you can get comfy, the seat slides back and forth so you can get into the right spot. It comes with a bunch of extras so you can do your Yoke setup, or your center stick setup. I think that this is excellent for VR gaming. Currently i rate it 5 stars, i will update this review in about 6 months to share any issues i may have. ... show more

  • Excellent durability and construction
Edition: Flight Simulator Cockpit: Boeing Milit...
Having been playing flight sims for 40 years, I've always appreciated good accessories. This is now my favorite as it is so sturdy and puts all the controls in the right place. Construction is easy but takes some time as their are options to consider and it's built to fit your size. It's also very comfortable. I'm 6'1" and really feel comfortable in it. It really looks great! I ordered the locking casters from NLR directly which will make moving it easier. Works great with both VR and big screen. ... show more

  • Perfect for what I needed
Edition: Flight Simulator Cockpit: Boeing Milit...
I was looking for a good solution to get all of my peripherals off of my desk and this did the trick. I did not use the seat belts as I didn't want to look like a complete nerd but they looked like they were of high quality. It took about 2 hours while doing other things around the house at the same time. This is perfect for VR gaming as well as with screens. I was able to tuck it in a corner next to my computer desk so that I could use it without having to move it. It does have rubber feet on the bottom but you can adjust them so that it will slide on carpet if you need to. There were enough included pieces that I was able to MacGyver a way to mount all of my peripherals without making any extra purchases. ... show more
