Me and the kid weight almost 220 pounds together. The car works great with the two of us in it. We've been using it for a few weeks now and everything is wonderful. I will say that in the low speed setting, it does struggle to go up the most minimal of hills. But at the higher speed it powers up hills like a champ. The remote works well. I'm just glad that I can ride in this thing with my kid. The picture is accurate, an adult will be sitting in this thing with their knees high up in the air. But it's doable and a lot of fun. Two pieces of advice for people who buy this. 1) The instructions do leave out one important step. When you're putting the front axle on you need to align the steering yoke so that the steering peg from the car goes into the hole in the yoke. 2) This car doesn't have a brake pedal. It auto brakes when you let off the gas. If you hit the gas immediately after you let your foot off the pedal, it will accelerate really quick up to the original speed and that is pretty jarring. So, if you stop, just wait a second or two before you press down on the gas pedal. Then the car slowly and gently accelerates back up to top speed. ... show more

Seller does not want to replace broken parts , defective parts . Front wheels tow out so wheels after only three rides are worn badly as a result . We have requested front axle and new wheels for front for months . Seller continually asks for same photos time and time again . I have repeatedly sent photos . They just continue to ask for more of same . Do NOT buy from this seller . If you have a problem , they WILL NOT FIX !! ... show more

We purchased this for our grandson who will be 5 years old soon. We could not be happier with this car. We were able to put it together in about an hour. The seats adjust forward and back so it fits him now and can be adjusted as he grows; the seatbelts are also adjustable. It is a little faster than the other cars we researched (5.6 mph I believe). And he has yet to wear the battery out. My husband charges it every night and at noon while our grandson naps. He drives for hours on our driveway, in the grass, up and down the ditches - all over our 1.5-acre lot. It costs a little more than many of the others on the market, but the reviews of the other products often complained about the battery life, or the child's legs didn't have much room in the car. We didn't feel that spending a little less on something he would outgrow within months was a good return for our investment. Bought this for my Grand Daughters this Christmas. Although it initially said over a week for shipping it arrived in just 3 days. The front bumper was slightly cracked from shipping (it is a big item) however upon reaching out to the manufacturer, it was determined that the small part was replaceable. The company sent a replacement at no charge. BTW, the girls are 3 1/2 and 6 with the latter doing most of the driving currently, it is something the other will grow into. Mom and Dad like they have a remote control if needed for the younger one. The four-wheel drive gives it plenty of power for both are riding together even up hills. ... show more

    • Polarity reversed
If you don’t know anything about DC motors and soldering, you would have been in the same shoes as me. The front axle came preassembled, and the motors were labeled left and right, but the color coordination of the motors to the cords were backwards. I did not even think twice about it when I first assembled the car. The second I tried to drive it out of the garage with the remote control. The front wheels were going backwards and the back wheels were going forward.. So I temporary disconnected the axle justice should be able to show my daughter for her birthday. I took it back into the garage. I tried swapping the motors on the front axle. did not change the function of the tires so they would go in the same direction. after the motor swap on the front axle, I realized that the polarity was reversed, which means the wiring was hooked up backwards. For as expensive as this toy is, there should not be any issues. I also noticed when assembling the rest of the vehicle there was multiple zinc screws that were already rusted straight out of the box. if you know how to solder, it’s not too hard of a fix and if you know what you’re looking at. But for the price of this, you should not have to break out a soldering iron and have to unsolder and re-solder the wires to switch the polarity to make his really expensive toy work as it should. Luckily, my father-in-law was there and had a soldering iron in New little bit about DC motors and wiring. Because I had held onto this toy for about two months before my daughters birthday before even attempting to put it together and testing the vehicle. I was already out of my return date on this toy. I highly recommend putting this toy together as soon as you can and making sure all the wiring and functions on the remote and everything work properly. The average American would have had to send this toy back and get another one. I do like the toy, but if this is a common issue and problem with this product, I highly recommend the sellers reduce the price so people can buy soldering irons to fix what they couldn’t do right in the first place. ... show more
